This is a good song, but I still can't help but feel that 'Runaway' seems like the natural follow-up to 'Jealousy'.

 

As much as I like Runaway, this is the one song on the album that does not hold my attention until the end. I don't know why that is, but evry time I play it, I've drifted away from it before it ends.

 

Come On isn't perhaps my favourite, but it builds throughout the song and it peaks right at the end. I think following straight on from Jealousy, it's a good choice. I've no idea what he'll choose for the next one, maybe Silent Valentine given that'll be released about that time, but whatever, he won't be lost for choice that's for sure. :lol:

Will Young announces new single 'Come On'

Will Young has announced the title of his new single.

 

The singer will release 'Come On' as the second cut to be lifted from his chart-topping album Echoes.

 

The single is available to download now, with an official impact date to be announced in the coming weeks.

 

'Come On' is a cover of electronic duo Kish Mauve's 2009 single, while Young's version was produced by Richard X.

 

The single follows 'Jealousy', which reached number five on the UK chart back in August.

 

Will Young will embark on a 23-date tour of the UK and Ireland later this month, starting in Swindon on October 27.

 

The star recently described his stint on 2001/02's series of Pop Idol as "the best ever experience".

When i heard Will was going with a trapeze theme for Jealousy i wondered what we would get as i couldn't see how they would go with it, but it worked wonderfully, but this? i don't know, all i know of crufts is people running about getting their dogs to jump over and under things and that's all there is isn't there? :huh:

I have visions of Will running about the arena telling his pooch to 'Come on Come on Come on' to the finsh line :lol:

Silly videos makes it look as though Will doesn't take the song seriously IMO and if he writes from the heart, sings from the heart, then to cheapen it all with a self indulgent video gives me the pip. Still, dogs always tug at the heart strings, so all may not be lost yet. :lol:

When I heard the concept my heart sank a little bit, I must admit. <_< Best I can hope for at the moment is that the dogs are gorgeous and it's cute and touching and really funny. When I listened to the track in the car earlier I could imagine the beat working for dogs trotting in the ring, and also I could imagine dogs refusing to budge/ going on strike and the repeated words Come On fitting. But that's the pathetic limit of my imagination. But someone suggested it could be a story from a dogs point of view and I think that could be good.

 

Ah well, at least you like dogs Sunday!
