Posted October 4, 201113 yr Gary Barlow has admitted that Robbie Williams's previous personal attacks "hurt". Speaking to the Radio Times, the X Factor judge confessed that he was upset by the 'Angels' singer's reluctance to confront him personally before they famously made up and Williams re-joined Take That. "All those years I'd just imagined this moment to actually be sat there opposite this person who had done so much damage and said so much bad stuff. Not to my face, in records and in print. It was the way it was being done that hurt," Barlow explained However, Barlow spoke positively about the pair's reconciliation: "To eventually be sat there opposite [Robbie] was liberating. "And you know what, a lot of people don't get that chance, they spend their whole lives as enemies and don't talk. "So for me it was a victorious day. And we came back to it a couple of days later and did some more and we were washed and we were clean." Meanwhile, speaking about Williams's future with Take That, Barlow added: "Many fans say they prefer Take That as a foursome. The ultimate dream was to get us on tour. We managed to do that. It was beautiful. "Now Rob's doing a solo record and from this point it's back to where it was. [but] you know what, we can revisit it whenever we want. "He's our brother, Rob is, and if he wants to have a year off being Robbie Williams, he's welcome any time he wants." In response to Barlow's comments, a band representative yesterday insisted that Williams is only "on a break" and will return to the boyband after he finishes work on his solo album.
October 5, 201113 yr Yeah in retrospect Rob was completely out of order in every way, but when you're young and succesful you are in your own bubble i guess. I think we all know that Rob will be back in Take That in some shape or form in the future, although i don't think his presence will be as noticeable on the album i.e he won't be singing on 7 out of 10 songs as a main vocalist. Plus Progress sold alot more that Circus did overseas single, album and tour wise so they would be silly not to stick to that now. That said I am happy that Beautiful World (to date) is their biggest selling record in the UK, by far my fav record and it sounds alot more genuine than the electro stuff (although i did think it was a pleasant change and strong addition to their discography) Im looking forward to Rob's record, it'll be interesting to hear any Take That references or references of what has happened to him in the past couple of years, but there should be strong songs on it with Gary writing and producing and Guy Chambers back on board..interesting times!
October 6, 201113 yr Author I have to say if Robbie did to me what he did to gary i honestly dont think i could forgive him, gary is a better man than me as i dont think i woul dbe able to sit down with someone like that again. I know some people can, and they find it rewarding to do so, so i guess its each to their own, but i think robbie showed an absolutly horrible side to himself at that time and its that side im weiry of him, people can slate gary all they want as in he is forging out a solo career etc or he is fame hungry but i genuinly dont think there is that big nasty side to him that is clearly in robbie. Still, its in the past now and they genuinly seem to be getting on and moving forward and im sure it is liberating for them both ( plus it has brought some financial gain and fame exposure aswell!!!!)
