Butch Walker is an American singer/songwriter who has also written songs for Pink, Avril Lavign, Bowling for Soup, Simple Plan, Katy Perry & Weezer. His fifth album, The Spade, came out this year.

 

He tour with Pink on her Summer Carnival Tour with his band The Black Widows, where he was one of the best support acts I have ever seen at a stadium gig, the crowd really got into him. He is currently on tour in America, rumoured to be touring overseas next year.

 

 

I decided to make a thread about this, because one of his songs was featured in the Pink forum's song of the week, and got good reviews.

Fellow Butch Walker fan? I found one who hasnt got to his music through Pink? :yahoo:

 

Mixtape was the first song I heard by him :wub: I first heard him around 2006 when I'd learnt he had worked with Pink on I'm Not Dead. He is by far my fave :wub: his gig in Manchester last year was the best I have ever been too, including all of the Pink gigs I have been too! Have you heard his new album yet?

 

We have a Butch Walker song as our song of the week in the Pink forum...it features Pink....just sayin' :teresa:

I'm pretty rare to come by :P Everyone I talk to about him always mentions P!nk :P Someone told me he supported her on tour which I found pretty shocking, I always thought he was a lot bigger than that. And no I havent :( Didn't realise that he had one come out so I'm going to have to check this out! and I'll have a listen to the song in the P!nk forum :D

Like I said, I've been a fan for years, but only knew him from Pink, hes won my heart though :wub:

 

He played a gig in manchester last year, Pink has showed up at some of his past gigs, I was really hoping she'd turn up there, but she didnt, part of me was glad, because I wanted that show to be about him, not her. He's a lot bigger over in america than uk. I looove his new album, I dont skip any song on there, they are all 10 out of 10 for me! Although my fave album is probably his third, Sycamore Medows :wub:

 

He is bringing a book out this month too, I'm looking forward to that :D
