The album hits the shelves here on Ireland this Friday, not sure how it will do here probably top 20 like the last live album.
I wasn't going to buy this but I've pre-ordered it now, I still listen to The Circus live surprisingly regularly :o

Which of the 2 circus live discs would you listen to most regular?
i ordered the album too. It'll be released and delivered (hopefully) tomorrow. I also watched the concert dvd tonight and I have to say that I really relived the concert. amazing.

With such strong DVD sales i think will take away cd sales, they have release dates too close to each other and i believe the cd will suffer a decrease in sales due to this.
Its hard to know, the dvd is definitly going to be a huge success and releasing the dvd and cd so close to each other could go either way, one the core fanbase will probably buy both, some will buy one or the other and then for others who buy the dvd may enjoy the live sound and it could push them to buy the album. For me personnely i havnt bought the dvd yet im gona wait til it drops a little in price but i did buy the live cd today and i love it, while i am a big take that fan im not the biggest music dvd customer and get more excited about live cd's instead, on saying that i have bought quite alot of music dvds is just ive started holding back for them to drop in price before i buy them as in recent years ive got peeddd off paying €20-€25 for the dvds to discover 3 months later they are €7.
Well i have bought the album but have been very good and decided not to listen to it and asked my girlfriend to hid eit away until christmas so i can look forward to it.

The live album is number 6 in the tuesday midweeks, not bad, but not great either

That is actually good for a live album - if I'm correct - The Circus live album peaked at number 5. Take That's live albums seem to do a lot better than other acts' live albums.

Kath

The Circus live made number 3 on debut week.

I had hoped Progress live would go top 5 but its still doing good and i wouldnt rule top 5 out just yet, from memory the circus live was number 5 in the midweeks on release week and went #3 over the weekend.

I would think sales are quiet close from numbers 3-8 so they could easily drop or rise a place a 2, either way they will open with decent sales.

As i have said before live albums usually dont do very well so take that in those terms are doing well, a live album 2 years ago that went double platnum + and now another going top 10 and will more than likely go platnum.

I still think the dvd and cd were released to near each other, the dvd although i dont know the figures sold massively last week so its a big ask for some to go straight out and buy a cd which is essentially the same music so soon.

I think if the CD had a disc of a stripped back acoustic set of some songs like the greatest day live then we would see a stronger debut
Ya they could possibly have helped, its hard to know and im probably alone in saying the inclusion of stripped back acoustic set would add nothing for me, i didnt like it on the circus cd so it doesnt makes any odds to me we didnt get this time round, but as i said most people will probably disagree with me on that.

It appears they have dropped since yesterdays midweek update so Top 5 is completly out of the question unfortunatly. I do now fear they could lose out on a top 10 placement? Anyone else fear the same?

Number 10 in todays report. I fear this will be their first album to miss the top 10 unless it can rise in the coming weeks. Would a number 10 album this week even come close to 50,000 sales?
Well nobody else( the import version made #26) so their top 10 streak in some ways was broken along time ago although that could be dis counted. Still il be honest and say i would be hugely disapointed if it missed the top 10, id only be happy with an outside top 10 debut if it was to climb into the top 10 in the coming weeks. I didnt expect it to drop to as low as number 10 though, i kinda thought it would hold around #6 or #7, but i still think sales would be close betwen numbers 6 and 10.

I did not know about this import version, was it different from the original release and was it released before or after the normal UK version?

It would be great if sales are close between number 6 to 10 as Take That may stand a chance of increasing their chart peak this week. Missing the top 10 would be very disappointing.

I personally don't think the Live Album's anywhere near as good Circus Live. The TT4 stuff is as good as ever - they're harmonies sound good etc. I like Let me Entertain you, but when I listen to Robbie's solo stuff I can feel myself wincing as his voice actually sounds "rough and sore". The TT5 stuff is pretty good, well most of it but again I don't like Underground Machine. My friend was listening to it in the car and said Robbie's voice sounded ropy and like he was shouting. But then, as she said, he can get away with it because he's entertaining. But on a live record the entertainment bit doesn't cover up his vocals. That's my view anyway.
