It just gets worse, i wonder will it just drop and drop now, i hope it can build steady sales over christmas,i think they will end up #12 or 13 on sunday and joe mec elderry moving up to #11.
and a 12 debut here with sales of 42,590 which is actually very good for a live album although not as good as the 123,312 that the last one opened with

Sales are good despite the low position, is there any chance it may climb this week?

i doubt it, but it shouldnt fall to much with the Christmas effect taking hold.

If it was released a couple of months earlier it would have flown into the top 2 so i wouldnt really worry about it. The live albums are just a bonus for them

I am just after looking through some of the sales archive threads within the chart forum, and the sales of the live album on most other weeks would indeed have resulted in a top 3 position, and on 2 occasions enough to be number 1. In that respect I guess im not as disappointed.

Number 19 today, appears top 20 is now out of the question this week :arrr:

Don't worry Pippa, it might be that it picks up over the course of the week and ends up at 15 or something. Either way judging by last weeks sales, 19 would be a very healthy 30k to add.

I wonder whether the Gary Barlow: In Concert shows this week will boost the albums/singles

To be honest i think it will repeat what happened last week and fall further as the week goes on but i hope i am wrong, sales sales in the top 30 will be respectable so it will help get the album nearer and nearer to 100,000 sales for now,

Wrong so far aphrodite! do not mean that in a sarcastic way, I am just happy to post the album is at number 16 today which is 3 places higher than yesterday, remaining top 20 is looking increasingly likely now.

Well im glad to be wrong, and i know you didnt mean that in a sarcastic way, now i just hope the climb can continue or even hold where they are now, holding top 20 again this week will hopefully see sales of around 40,000, so the week after it will easily pass 100,000.

I know its a live album and they usually dont do well but i still feel disapointed by its performance so far, i was sure it would have gone top 10, i knew it wouldnt be a massive seller but i guess i was positive it would easily go top 10 and easily go platnum.

I still think it will go platinum, the last one sold double platinum so i do expect this album to sell 200k or near to that figure before Christmas. With the last one at least they did promo on it, this one again nothing as has become tradition during the progress era

Is double platnum not sales of 600,000?

If correct, in the sales thread 2 weeks back the Circus Live sold 514,000, which indicates it has not made double platnum. With the circus a bigger and more promoted live album i cannot see this current live album selling over half the amount of the above.

Sorry yes you are right, I was looking at the 700k figure that was estimated. The album wont sell 500k but will definately go platinum or come very very close to it.

But at the end of the day they have sold over 3 million copies of Progress worldwide, just under 500k of the flood, 100k for LL and Kidz in the uk alone..200k of the tour dvd and will have sold 70k of the live album by the end of the week. So whatever way you look at it the Progress era has sold over 4 million worldwide and will probably end up getting to 4.3 million if the dvd continues to ship the current amount worldwide for the next 3 weeks.

So with that in mind, i would say that TT arent really bothered about the live album sales or charting too much lol

I think the flood may have possibly passed the 500,000 sales now but only just.

I know they wont be overly bothered about the live album as its for hardcore fans really and helps fill the gap for the next album, i just thought robbie fans would have bought it aswell which would boost sales, o know its holding up quiet well and the live album will probably sell more than some artists studio albums will even manage.

yeah without a doubt the live album previous has sold more than many artists manage with their own studio albums (westlife!!) and i do believe this one will go platinum

Did the previous live album outsell the Westlife studio album by much? Also were they released the same week?

From memory they were both released the same week but cant find the sales at the moment, overall though take that's live album outsold the westlife album by around 165,000.

Really glad progress live is holding steady in this weeks charts, it should stay top 20 this week which will be good for sales, i think its sales this week will be similar to last week.

The same cannot be said for Ireland, as on week 2 the album drops 15 places to number 39 this week, the dvd is also knocked of the top spot the new script dvd.
