It looks like Lucie Jones is closing in on releasiing her debut material after finishing 8th in X Factor 6 (Joe, Olly, Stacey, Jedward). I'm really looking forward to it and she was my favourite and I was gutted when Simon kept Jedward :angry:

 

But reading on Digital Spy, this is what I've found:

In other news, she's being rumoured for this year's I'm A Celebrity. Plus, in the past year or so she's been modelling (you can see a pic on her twitter background @luciejones1 and made an appearance in the Sarah Jane Adventures :D

YES. I have been waiting SO long for this. her voice is amazing, the second best thing to come out of the x factor behind our diana. she got robbed back in the x factor. getting sent home over jedward, hmph. -.-

I'm expecting it to be very good, seen as there's been a lot of time been spent on it. hope she goes for a pop/pop-rock sound, as it really suits her.

I'm just happy to actually be getting music from lucie really. I thought they completely abandoned her after that series of the x factor had finished.

let's hope so! although I think that this most likely won't do a thing, considering that she finished in a similar position to aidan grimshaw who's debut single got a lot of support and still flopped. :(

Hey the presenting worked out for Olly! The thing about her was that her voice kind of has a ceiling, she's not a powerhouse singer, if she brings out songs were she chooses her notes well then she'll be heading in the right direction. As ever though, it's all about the songs.

The only way she will do well is that her stuff must fit in with the current market. Simple.

She performed at Ponty's Big Weekend last week as a support act for Olly Murs along with the likes of Diana Vickers and Cover Drive! Shows she can still get big gigs and was great promo for her!

 

Also, she sung a new song from her album called 'Superman Flies' at a gig last week and here is a live recording of it as well as a cover of 'Lego House':

The song doesn't sound all that great? I'll reserve my full judgment once a recording is floating around though of "Superman Flies" or better yet anything. She was definitely shafted during her stint of Xfactor (and Rachel too).

I realize that. That is why I said I was going to reserve judgment until recorded material is out of course lol. I hope she gets some momentum going, but part of me thinks she shouldn't have waited so long to get the ball rolling on this. This is an independent venture right?

Its either an independent venture or she's got signed to a small label I assume, but I'm not sure! I don't think she's signed to a major label though as we'd have heard more about it. She does look and sound like a great popstar though, I hope she can get some momentum like you say! :D
