Cher Lloyd update:

3. With Ur Love

I think she's had it now - if she was going to be #1 for the week, she'd need to have been well ahead now to allow for the fading of the initial sales burst. I suspect #3 is the best she'll manage.

I agree. I think it'll go:

1. Professor Green (he'll hold on this week since his album is released)

2. Rihanna

3. Cher Lloyd

I'd be happy with a Professor Green-Cher Lloyd-Rihanna-Labrinth-Maroon 5 top 5 (in that order). Although 'With Ur Love' is far better than 'Swagger Jagger', she doesn't need another number-one - I'd much rather have Professor Green spend another week with a brilliant track.
Unless Cher can get #1 tommorrow with a nice lead I don't think she has a chance. Would loved to have seen her get that 2nd #1, bit Top 3 would still be great.

Nicole was amazing on X-factor I forgot how good she is live, hope she goes Top 10. Cher was so mediocre I doubt she will get No 1. Prof Greens album is out now so hope he holds on.

E.T. doing really well, could be back in the top 40 this week :o This should also help it a lot towards reaching gold sales (it's less than 15k off so could do it in 2-3 weeks now). I wonder why the solo version is higher again though?

I'm glad Birdy isn't looking likely to go top 40. It's another awful cover. I sort of wish she'd done predictable and overdone covers instead of covering semi-obscure indie songs - one of the virtues of semi-obscurity is that you shouldn't have to have your song murdered :drama:

I suppose it's a good thing if she's getting the songs into the chart, but it's a bad thing that people now associate 'Skinny Love' with her instead of Bon Iver, 'Shelter' with her instead of The xx and 'People Help The People' with her instead of Cherry Ghost when the originals of all 3 are infinitely better. Blegh.

Good to see Don't Hold Your Breath back in the top 200, should hopefully get around 1,000 sales this week, I really want it to hang in the top 30 in the top selling singles. Nicole is gaining quite fast now and I hope it somehow goes top 10, which I unfortunately doubt. It's airplay has been poor and the songs only been available to hear for 2 weeks now.

85. Jessie J - Who You Are (Looks like this will be missing the top 40 then)

I really wish the BBC radio 1's Live Lounge you can cherry pick songs instead of purchasing the whole album.

Oh, I see Arctic Monkeys have released a new single this week - I didn't even know they were doing another single from this album. 'The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala' missed the top 100 but that was apparently because a lot of its stock was destroyed in the riots so maybe 'Suck It And See' will go top 100. (It's selling shit all on downloads but 'Cornerstone' and 'My Propeller' off their last album both went top 100 with similarly few downloads).

Glad to see Jessie J's Who You Are flopping. It's awful.

High Contrast not doing *too* badly, I hope it can become his highest-peaking single (he's had 4 previous top 100 hits, the highest-peaking got to #65).

Jay-Z at #38 with '99 Problems', it would be awesome if it can go top 40 but it'll probably end up at something like #43 (even if it's not put up to 99p before the end of the week - it probably will be in which case it'll be lucky to go top 50).

Coldanna not holding up too badly, still #33. Should get a second week top 40 I think.

The Live Lounge album is offerring a few songs for cherrypicking - including Leona Lewis' 'Let the Sun Shine' and Miles Kane 'Heaven'. I think having it as an album only makes it all the better actually, it means the charts aren't dominated with covers and those who purchase the album can really enjoy the exclusivity of it.

On the topic of Nicole Scherzinger, I can't see her cracking the T10 this week. Her biggest sales would surely have been last night / this morning on the back of the X-Factor performance - and this shows as Cher Lloyd advanced 5-2 over the course of ~20 hours. 'Try With Me' sounds just like Katy Perry's 'Firework', so for that reason I don't see it appealing to anyone outside the fanbase.

Great to see 'E.T.' doing so well on the back of Little Mix's performance last night - #52 and #59 surely put it T40 combined, so if they can hold it together until Sunday I see it re-entering the T40, or at least climbing to the #41-45 band; as did Lady Gaga with 'The Edge of Glory'.

85. Jessie J - Who You Are (Looks like this will be missing the top 40 then)

Well it has already peaked at #40 when the album was released so it's impossible for it to miss Top 40!

Read All About It is currently #1, #42 ,#97 - It should be #1 officially again this week, so Cher may have to settle for #2 or #3

Nicole  #14 - hopefully it doesn't stop Lego House getting top 10 :o
