Couldn't find a thread on this but it's proving quite popular lately. All kinds of 'scariest film of the year' type comments.

Watched it the other night and whilst it is scientifically accurate and done in an almost documentary style with soild believable performances I found it plodding, predictable dull. None of the characters have any depth, likeability or signifigant screen time. It jumps around so much you never get to know anyone properly and comes with the mother of all 'so what' endings. As for scary? Seen it all before and done better nearly every time and it's not remotely thought provoking.

Although watching Paltrow die is a definate plus point.

Biggest disappointment of the year.

Seeing posters for this everywhere on the tube does not help my germaphobia!

I love that they ACTUALLY used this super-unflattering image on the posters for the film LOL.

Great film though! Exactly what I want from a blockbuster like this... zippy and fun, not too mindless but nor was it too intent on provoking thought or debate. It definitely wasn't scary like some people were saying, it wasn't really that kind of film. Good electronic soundtrack, good performances... ASIDE from Jude Law whose accent was most bizarre, he seemed to be acting as though he was in a different film. And Marion Cotillard felt shoehorned in.

Gwyneth STOLE IT. Her scenes were all amazing. Of course.

8/10.

Is that Gwyneth?! Looks like Charlize Theron in Monster!

I know right LOL. She looked pretty hideous throughout. GOOD MAKE-UP obviously because Gwynnie is v beautiful.

I eventually got around to watching this and it definitely wasn't as bad as people have said. However, I have no words for that Jude Law accent! He was supposed to be Australian? What? Awful.

The most shocking thing about the film was not seeing Kate Winslet naked.

HAHA I know. I barely even recognised her with her clothes on.

Couldnt really get into this. Felt so cheesy in places especially with that electronic music playing over everything.
