December 7, 201113 yr The CGI did seem really bad, at Ringer boat scene green-screen kinda levels. This show seems to have been on a sliding slope ever since the pilot, which remains my favourite episode. One thing that gets me is how is seems to focus in on one character each week (Snow White, Prince Charming, Jiminy Cricket, Cinderella) when I'd rather they spread it out more evenly. I was even falling asleep during this weeks episode. Bring on the midseason finale and let's hope the death of SOME charcter livens it up a bit and helps to steer the show in the right direction, as the first couple of episodes showed so much promise (yet some people do seem to think it keeps getting better & better).
December 7, 201113 yr It's definitely been getting progessively worse as it goes on, but not to the point that it's BAD, not for me anyway. As for a potential death, there are so many characters it could be, there's a lot of ancillary people floating about. My money is on Abigail/whatever she's called in the 'real world'.
December 9, 201113 yr I really like the show but agree I'm not sure the format of one character a week is that effective. It's a bit Lost-ish isn't it almost with the 'real life' scenes being like the island scenes and the fairytale back story like the Lost flashbacks. Of course this shouldn't be surprising given the writers I guess but I'm not entirely loving it, like I was at the start, it's still great though. Re the death the next episode, not sure how accurate IMDB is, but all of the main cast are still listed for 22 episodes so unless that's a red herring, it won't be any of them, their is one character with a suspiciously short run of just 7 episodes including the first episode after the Christmas break and then that's it, so would fit in with what they said about we would still see their fairytale background after their real time death. That character is Ruby/Red Riding Hood which would make sense I suppose if she dies, and then we get her fairytale episode after the break. Would be a shame if it's her! She's only featured fleetingly
December 13, 201113 yr I think the latest episode stepped it up again and I'd even say it was the best since the first couple. I didn't really care for Graham so it doesn't matter that he died. Liked the way Regina completely squashed the heart into dust.
January 27, 201213 yr I'm two episodes behind but finally a new hit US show that hasn't been snapped up by Sky. Channel 5 have picked this up to air from Spring time and a short preview will be aired tonight before the start of Celebrity Big Brother so I guess they'll be promoting it well and hoping for big things from it following the US success.
January 27, 201213 yr I only just caught up with the new episodes earlier this week, FINALLY things are starting to get a little bit more interesting, especially the Rumplestiltskin origin story and the new arrival oh and the KISS between Snow and Prince Hotty. CGI is still bugging me though. Oh and Alan Dale is so going to have a heart attack at some point.
February 5, 201213 yr I'm still enjoying it, but it's just ludicrously predictable, every single 'twist' in episode 11 was super obvious. They really need to bring in a totally WTF moment at some point SOON.
March 12, 201213 yr Has anyone seen this yet, just seen the trailer on Channel 5 for a new Fantasy series called Once Upon A Time, is it worth looking into. 15__iA1MTqc
March 17, 201213 yr I finally decided to start watching this. And oh my GOD the pilot is INCREDIBLE. Rather worried that some people write that it's gone downhill in the last few episodes :( Edited March 17, 201213 yr by Caïn
March 17, 201213 yr Like most shows, it has its ups and downs, but this last episode that's just aired in the US (episode 15, I think) was fantastic. I think it's because each episode features the backstory of the characters in Storybrooke and some of the stories aren't as exciting as others.
March 17, 201213 yr That and the WOEFULLY BAD cgi, which has progressively got worse as things have gone on seemingly. Episode 14 was my favourite yet though, with Leroy/Grumpy being the main focus and the Mary Margaret story focusing on something other than her being a total and utter SAP.

Episode 14 was my favourite yet though, with Leroy/Grumpy being the main focus and the Mary Margaret story focusing on something other than her being a total and utter SAP. Really?! That was my least favourite by a long shot! I don't like Grumpy though, to be fair..
March 17, 201213 yr I just found it really heartwarming and lovely, something virtually all the rest have failed to be. Episode 13 was a very good one too actually, haven't watched 15 yet though, so hopefully it's as good and its finally hit its stride.
March 18, 201213 yr Am I the only one who gets a serious LOST vibe from this? :heehee: With all the flashbacks and everything.
March 18, 201213 yr Am I the only one who gets a serious LOST vibe from this? :heehee: With all the flashbacks and everything. The guys behind the show were producers/writers of LOST. I've still not watched the show, and don't intend to as it doesn't really sound like my thing. From what I've read though, they're using a very similar narrative structure to that of LOST.
