The first night sounded really good on youtube at any rate. Murs did a great version of Shine. Gary was funny and did a surprise dance routine during Pray.

It would be great if he released it on DVD as its for charity anyways and that would definately generate a good few thousand more

 

On another note, it has been confirmed that Gary is dueting with Marcus on the XF this week, it was rumoured that they are rehearsing never forget, and greatest day along with a couple of TT songs but now it seems they are doing Bill Joel's Always a Women for Marcus' mum apparently. A quick note on the side is that Gary said in an interview that this song was one of his favourites so im quite looking forward to hearing his version

Im not sure what i think of this news to be honest, one i dont think there voices suit but then i have to be honest, i dont like marcus at all and hoping he is first to be eliminated, i think i would have been happier for gary to duet with amelia or little mix but that was never gona happen.

Really? I think Marcus has a really unique vibe to him, i reckon he'll go down the Will Young career and you can be sure Gary will co write or produce the Marcus album. I don't like Amelia, I agree completely with Gary that her voice sounds shouty at times and that she is ok but wont have any long term career. Jury is out on LittleMix, i personally think after a top 5 single interest in them will wane and they will be overshadowed when GA get back together next year.

I would not be a big fan of final 3, but as much as im not a fan i think Little Mix will be more than a one hit wonder, the Girl Band scene is bare at the moment and needs new blood and Little Mix have the ideal opportunity now to swoop in and do well, they need strong and relevant songs.

 

The Saturdays from reports are finished, sugabababes arent really around so who else is there to fill the girl band void at the moment?

God i hope Little Mix win, they are my faves by far, i wouldnt be disapointed with Amelia winning either but would hate marcus to win, on saying that the runners up seem to do better so from that angle only id like marcus to win.

 

I think Little Mix could be huge, there is definitly room for a new girlband now more than ever as the girlband market isnt exactly on fire at the minute, if little mix work with the right people, and i agree get relevant songs they could be in with a chance of repeating the success of girls aloud.

I hope Marcus goes first (of the final three I think he is the weakest). To me, after an impressive first and second week on the live finals, he's been turned into an old man! Of those final three I think (win or no win) he'll have the shortest pop career - he's just so incredibly boring.

 

I've not watched for the last few weeks (I've been more excited about IAC and trying to catch episodes of TWD online) but of those left - I'm hoping for a Little Mix win.

Im also hoping for little mix win and i completly agree with what you said about matcus kath, i just dont find him boring i find him so so cheesey aswell, and for some reason i find him fake i just find he probably isnt as nice as he lets on although i could be completly wrong in saying that as i have no proof, its just a feeling i get when he is talking.

I've read some 'orrible things too - although they could just be rumours. He does seem cheesy and fake - this on top of being boring just makes for a massive miss for me. And to be honest - he really isn't that good a singer either.

 

Little Mix (despite a very wobbly first couple of weeks - and some truly unwarranted criticisms from Gary) have, for me, just got stronger and stronger (although their Supremes effort was decidedly - well - wobbly).

I always liked Little Mix, i used to say they were the best of a bad lot this year!!But seriously the week they sang dont let go by En Vogue was the week i really started to take to them and they showed so so much potential to have a successful career, i think little mix will do well regardless if they finish 3rd or 1st in the final.

both little mix and marcus did really well tonight, and whilst tulisa suprised me by how good she was, i thought that Gary's performance was fantastic, he really sung that with such a velvity tone to it, i really enjoyed it

I have to agree on this one, i actually enjoyed the marcus and gary duet and it surprised me asi fully expected not to enjoy it, that said i loved the last part of tulisa and little mix duet aswell. I still would have prefered an amelia and little mix final 2 so now i just hope little mix can now win it.

Great win for Little Mix, im quite surprised they only beat Marcus by a mer 5% in the voting. I am sure alot of Gary fans voted for Marcus on the back of Gary, I am a Take That, I am also a Gay fan but i certainly did not vote for Marcus and would not do so for anyone on those grounds alone.

Gary was taking questions on twitter last night and he was asked if he would do more solo gigs.

Let's hope so! I expect to see him featuring on a couple of singles this year at any rate with Tinie Tempah a very high possibility along with a rumoured Cheryl Cole song.

I think he will do a xmas covers album for next Christmas, it did well for Micheal Buble and if he does XFactor again this year (I believe he will) he has learned his lessons from last year and will be more himself it could be a good platform to put something solo out like xmas songs without it being really "solo"

 

He did say on twitter last week he still will be doing a song with Cheryl Cole and Trinie wants him to on his new album along with him working on Marcus and Craig material. On twitter he said he has meetings and plans next week for stuff this year.

 

I also wonder if we will get another collab with him and Robbie on Robbie's new album.

Is a covers album really Gary? If he is doing collaborations i think those mixed with covers could result in a very mixed up album. If Gary proceeds with a new album it needs to be strong or he will get iniliated and I cannot see Gary risking that after what he has experienced in his past quest for solo success.

I think a one off xmas cover album maybe for charity or something would ease people into him doing solo stuff if he wants to go down that road (which for all we know he doesn't). Just my opinion but I don't think he's quite there yet with the public to release a solo album of new writing yet and not straight after Robbie releasing a solo album of new writing as it will only be compared and will bring up past issues and gossip. I'm gonna wait and see how the Queens birthday events go and what other projects he does this year first.

I agree im not fully sure if gary is yet fully equipped to be accepted solo wise, there is a chance a covers album in the right market ie christmas etc might do well for him but they would want to be good covers, personnaly i wouldnt be a huge fanb of covers album and would rather an album of new material, but i wont deny i would like gary to have solo success again providing its a side project to take that.
