Off the back of BJSC, 'Arms' made no. 15 in my chart equalling the peak of 'Jar Of Hearts'. I've noticed this is now on the release schedule but I doubt it'll be making any future appearances in my top 40.ย 2. [4] Lego House - Ed Sheeran (11 - 4 - 2) [3wks]ย Brilliant track, as mentiond in my own chart thread, this has great potential to be my next chart topper.ย 3. [3] Earthquake - Labrinth ft. Tinie Tempah (26 - 1 - 3 - 3) [4wks]ย I really didn't get this on first listen. Or the second. Or the third...but then yesterday I watched the video in its entirety and now I think it's... :o ...ok. :D Still far from being amongst my fave tracks in the chart at the moment but 'Earthquake' might make my top 40 next weekend (albeit, not high up).ย 4. [2] We Found Love - Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris (1 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 4)[5wks]ย Brilliant track, really catchy chorus, uplifting type of backing track with some decent production from Calvin, and then there's the video which is like watching a short film. It adds comes together brilliantly and thus provides Rihanna with her fifth no. 1 in my chart.ย 5. [6] Titanium - David Guetta ft. Sia (1 - 1 - 2 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 6 - 6 - 5) [12wks]ย The staying power of 'Titanium' here is similar to my chart. Despite peaking at #3 for me, this has become one of my biggest chart singles of 2011. Just a shame the record company didn't push this as a single release. Then again, it's done remarkably well worldwide on just download sales it hasn't really needed to be an official single.ย 6. [RE] Mr Know It All - Kelly Clarkson (47 - 49 - x4 - 6) [3wks]ย It's far too similar to 'Just The Way You Are' for my liking but nonetheless it's a decent enough song.ย 7. They sound nothing like how they did 10 years ago and for me, that's the beauty of Coldplay. If they were still releasing songs like 'Yellow' and 'Trouble' in 2011, I reckon they would be struggle in the popularity stakes. As it is, they they an ability to change their sound whilst still being unmistakeably Coldplay. This is why they've continued to be successful over the years.ย 8. For me, because Delilah has this very laid back vocal style it can sound bored, which ultimately makes me feel bored listening to it. Her vocals lack spark and (as silly as it seems) enthusiastic. I was pleased when looking it up that Arms had done fairly well in BJSC. I'm really hoping Jar Of Hearts isn't Christina's only hit in the UK, because Arms is all kinds of amazing. I'll have to see. Fingers crossed, though.ย 2. Exactly. I hope it is. I'm not sure about whether it'll top it here, Arms might be a bit too strong and I have a few other contenders coming up.ย 3. The video is a rather brilliant concept, I thought. I loved the Star Wars reference as well. The bassline really makes this song for me. It's really a great party tune.ย 4. I knew you'd like this! :D Yeh, it's rather amazing. I wouldn't say it's my favourite Rihanna song, but it's definitely up there.ย 5. Titanium is pretty much track of the year for me. I don't normally give tracks THIS much longevity in my chart. Its worldwide success is all kinds of amazing, it seems people are seeing the quality of the track. ย 6. It only just hit me recently. I have always liked Kelly Clarkson, but never really searched her tracks out, so when her tracks hit me, they hit me hard as I'm not.. used to them. :lol:ย 7. Exactly, I love Yellow, but right now, I would take the sound they're making now easily over any other. They've got better as the years have gone on, I think, but still an unmistakeable amount of brilliant hits in their back catalogue. Paradise is absolutely another great track for me. It'll probably stay in the chart for a while to come.ย 8. It has been around for a while, but I suppose that the beauty of Jar Of Hearts is that it doesn't get old for me, and I discovered it rather late. That and I'm making Perri my new Alexis Jordan right now. B-) ย 9. I said the same when I first heard it. I wanted a solo version with Alexis. Sean Paul's grown on me as I've kept listening to the song though, and I find his bits catchy enough to dance to.ย 10. Shame. I love Ain't Nobody itself, so that drew me into the track, and I stayed for some beautiful verses. The subtlety of the track helps a bit. I wouldn't say her singing is boring, it just needs to have a certain mindset. Time was also great. There's something about them that makes me really like them. The 'oooh' bits really help. I will admit it's probably up for a drop next week, though.ย Paper Planes just re-entered because I had listened to it a few times enough for me to chart it. Because I started this so late, I feel like I need to chart things when they have a particularly good week with me, and Paper Planes did just that.ย ย ย
