I wasn't blaming Darius at all.

His plans were to record in London in November. Perhaps he had already booked studio time and the necessary sound engineers/producers etc. and has now been able to re-schedule.

I first thought the 'no Mondays' was the carrot which tempted him back to tread the boards because he could juggle both projects at the same time and or make rather less exhausting trips to LA to see his family, than those he did last time he was in Chicago

Obviously the offer we didn't know about and one no fan would have him refuse even if it does mean delaying the album yet again, is Broadway.

yup i was thinking perhaps the mondays off were to accomodate him flying back and forth -

I do want so to go see the show, but tbh we are broke after the relatives visit from canada, and even at the half prices we are talking over £100 for the trip, oh says he wouldnt mind seeing the show again though - probably due to me showing him the skimpy costume photos lol

According to London at Large, Seal and Kate Winslet were also at the show and so were a couple of the Ecclestones.

:) that is great to hear

reading tweets - jules knight from blake was there last night.

Nice tweet from Jules.

It seems the after show party was a blast.

Some of the cast of the ENO's "Figaro" were in the same place celebrating their last night. Amongst them was a girl from Scottish Opera who tweets that she gave Darius some Weegie (Glaswegian) banter.

Weegie banter is always in fun but can seem like the opposite to outsiders - it basically consists of ribbing your pals in more and more excessive tongue-in-cheek insults until one of you gives in or you both get the giggles. It usually ends in a round of drinks.

Thanks Claireabell.

One from the Press Conference Rag there.

Filmmagic have 3 shots of Darius and Natasha walking along. They're much like the others we've seen with Natasha wearing her red coat.

Thanks BT! Nice positive review :) I was a little surprised when she mentioned "Darius Campbell was fantastic as Billy Flynn, fantastic singing voice (disn't hold such long notes though) " as we all know he can hold a note longer than most. The only time I've seen him struggle a little was when he was full of cold. Anyone know if this was the case? I hope he's on top form for this Friday ;)

Meg, Mum, Dad and I will be coming straight to the theatre after we've checked into the hotel. I'd guess we'll be there about 4pmish if you're still free for a meet up :)

Still haven't booked tickets, but I'm guessing there will be plenty available at the box office on the day. I might just get them booked anyway, as it would be stupid for us not to be able to see the show after travelling down. Had a similar disaster bringing Mum and Dad to go on the London Eye(after taking them to see a preview of the 1st show Popstar To Opera Star)which was closed for our visit  My own fault for not checking

Really hope we get chance for a photo and a chat with D :)

I don't know, B.P. It is of course a possibility because America Ferrera was fighting it off at the beginning of the week and Darius has to get up very close for 'We both reached for the gun'.

Or it could be that smoothness again. Perhaps the Billys she's seen before have clearly been holding the note for a wow factor and SEEN to be doing so. However when the same length of note is delivered in a controlled manner, it might not seem as long.

Darius has a fine voice, great technique and that familiar chocolate-y, elastic tone. He will follow all instructions from the director and musical director.

I doubt there's another who's played Billy Flynn who could hold a note longer(though I could be wrong), so it's either he has a cold or he's been asked to cut short the notes. God I hope he's not I'll for our performance  I can't imagine he could be much worse than he was when I saw him appear in Snow White, and he performed then, though this role is more demanding. I do seem to remember he missed a few shows from the Snow White run though

Tickets are now booked, so at least we should get top see the show, fingers crossed with D in it :)
