I hope they go by the proper definition of club classics and choose from the goldmine that was the nineties. I demand that somebody sing Rhythm Is A Dancer.

And objectivity goes OUT OF THE WINDOW as ever :D Haters to take a vacation ~

(It was a mediocre performance but PLEASE.)

I agree with this post! I actually thought considering we've all seen what Nicole is capable of, vocally, that she was far more ropey than Cher (who was a bit disappointing herself, I have to admit. But I believe it's the first performance she's done with the full production and everything! She smashes it everytime acoustically (much like any others - but those saying she can't sing really should listen to them)

Misha was amazing too, if she did that more often I would be on board with her.
I completely agree. Her 'Use Somebody' performance was actually excellent. That is what we needed to see from her.

Think she's feeling that some of this could be her fault. Don't think so seeing as the backlash would surely have happened last week.
Yep. Surely the backlash would have happened last week? This week should have been the Misha B fans running ot the phones trying to save her because they were worried.

I'm calling a Janet, Craig, Marcus, The Risk final.
I think you could be right. But I have a feeling Little Mix will actually surprise and more and more people are talking about them after every performance. 'E.T.' was brilliant for them and I think I'd back them to win now. We just got rid of Westlife, we don't need another. So I hope The Risk are "shock" gonners in the next couple of weeks! Isn't next week usually the week for "shock exits"? I don't even think there are any acts interesting enough to be classed as a "shock" if they left... Probably Misha, but that shock value has gone for her now considering she was bottom 2 this week... Maybe goodbye Janet?
I would love to see Kitty singing 'Set You Free', but as ever, the X Factor will deem "Club Classics" as pop songs that were released in 2011; like One Direction doing 'Only Girl (in the World)' and Cher Lloyd doing (the most laughable choice in theme ever) 'Nothin' On You'.
Kitty singing 'Set You Free' could actually be genuinely amazing! Or Groove Coverage's version of 'Poison' (Alice Cooper song not Nicole Scherzy :P)! Hopefully none of them do 'Show Me Love'. I get the feeling someone could be doing 'We Found Love' though. Maybe Janet will "strip it back" and remove the dance from it. :manson:

If Janet does that I will personally KILL her. She is not ruining one of my favourite songs of the year!

if we're talking actual DANCE songs here and not MANUFACTURED POP, then I'd choose the dj sammy version of 'boys of summer' for janet, I think she'd do really well with that. there's no way in hell that's going to be a choice though.

I just hope they don't go and strip back a dance song and just hand it to her. they should know by now that she NEEDS to do an fast song!

Basically the performances won't be club-like at all. Tulisa may have gotten rock week completely wrong but Gary and Kelly weren't much better. Yes, they picked rock songs, but they were molded to suit the styles of their acts. Versatility is dead this year.

Forgot to comment on last night's performances! :o Nicole was AMAZING! That new song is stunning as well. SCHERZIN' R BACK. *.*

Needless to say Lloyd was awful, but the song isn't as bad as Swagger Jagger it must be said.

I thought Cher was fine. She seemed a little bit nervous but that just made it more charming. In fact, Swagger Jagger aside - I actually quite like her.

Are you even for serious? DJ SAMMY for club classics?

I will put money on the fact that one of the acts is forced to do Collide. I hope Misha gets Sonique-It Feels so Good and Craig or Johnny gets Sylvester-Mighty Real.

One man's "club classique" is another man's "scrambled eggs"

you say it like they're actually going to CHOOSE club classics for everyone. :P

Tulisa will pick ballads and put massive club beats to them and the other judges will take away the club sound from club songs if it doesn't fit in with their act's style. RIP theme weeks.
Presumably we'll get a version of You Got The Love somewhere along the line... especially if Florence is performing on Sunday?

Tbh I'm glad they've moved away from these STRICT THEME WEEKS.

So what if you can perform rock, R&B hitz and George Michael hits? VERSATILITY is definitely not the BAROMETER of QUALITY ARTISTÉ.

That said I do miss the inevitable CAR CRASH 'Big Band Week' always was :(

Bizarrely, last Saturday I randomly saw SAMI on stage singing some ACTUAL club classics (Rhythm Is A Dancer, Dreamer and Castles In The Sky all got outings) - and they were VERY GOOD. Much as she had no hope of winning, it's kind of a shame she's missed this week as it was clear she was much more comfortable with club bangers than she was the housewife ballads Louis kept trying to toss her.

Someone to perform The Tamperer & Maya please, WITH the obligatory distorted final chorus.

Strike - U Sure Do would be a great choice for Janet!

Tina More - Never Let You Go would be good for Mischa too.
