Just read on DigitalSpy that Willie Nelson (didn't know that DigitalSpy was interested in him - but whatever) will release a new cover album, called Remember Me Vol.1. Here's the tracklist :

1. 'Remember Me' (Ernest Tubb)

2. 'Sixteen Tons' (Tennessee Ernie Ford)

3. 'Why Baby Why' (George Jones)

4. 'Today I Started Loving You Again' (Merle Haggard)

5. 'I'm Movin' On' (Hank Snow)

6. 'That Just About Does It' (Vern Gosdin)

7. 'This Old House' (Rosemary Clooney)

8. 'Sunday Morning Coming Down' (Johnny Cash)

9. 'Smoke That Cigarette' (Tex Williams)

10. 'Slowly' (Webb Pierce)

11. 'A Satisfied Mind' (Porter Wagoner)

12. 'Roly Poly' (Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys)

13. 'Release Me' (Ray Price)

14. 'Ramblin' Fever' (Merle Haggard)

15. 'More and More' (Webb Pierce)

I'm very excited about this. His 1978 cover album, Stardust, is one that I absolutely adore and are very proud to have in my collection. I'm not too fond of his own material but he has one of my favorite voices in the music industry. Willie's voice + covers = magic. Especially curious to hear the Johnny Cash song.

And oh yea, the old guy's facing two years in jail for possession of marijuana  Maybe he should come to the Netherlands?

Interesting! One thing I like about country music is that many covers are better than the originals. Might check this out.

Have you heard Roseanne Cash's latest album yet? It's a cover album too.

Are you talking about ''The List''? I haven't heard it yet, but I'm definitely putting it on my ''list'' as we speak. I haven't heard anything of her yet, which shows once again how much music I still have to discover.

A quick look on wiki tells me that she covered ''Miss the Mississippi and You'', something which Emmylou has also covered in the past. I always enjoy hearing different artists sing the same songs to see their take on it.

(btw I always consider Miss the Mississippi and You as one of the best song titles in music history - good grief how do you come up with such a title :P)

New album will be released May 15, called ''Heroes''. This time he covers Coldplay's ''The Scientist'' and Pearl Jam's ''Just Breathe''. But there will also be new songs on it that he sings together with his son.

Tracklist :

01. A Horse Called Music

02. Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die

03. That's All There Is to This Song

04. No Place to Fly

05. Every Time He Drinks He Thinks of Her

06. Come on Up to the House

07. Hero

08. My Window Faces the South

09. The Sound of Your Memory

10. Cold War with You

11. Just Breathe

12. My Home in San Antone

13. Come on Back Jesus

14. The Scientist

Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die contender for best song title EVER?! That's a duet with none other than SNOOP DOGG and Kris Kristofferson btw. I have no idea what to expect from this.

Is there any way I can edit the topic title to a more general discussion thread? I think it's pointless to make a new one for every album he releases considering the speed at which he spouts out his releases and the lack of interest in him on Buzzjack.

Or maybe I can at least change the subtitle, if I know how to.
