Posted November 9, 201113 yr :cheer: :yahoo: 6 years. It's been a long wait. I have to pinch myself although I know it's true this time because Darius never says anything until things are confirmed. He so deserves it and no-one can say he hasn't earned his place there. Evan Forster, one of the guys Darius works with in America let the cat out of the bag in a tweet on 2nd Nov that Darius was to star on Broadway. He's now added that Darius will star as Billy Flynn in Chicago on Broadway in January 2012.

November 13, 201113 yr Author Tony Yazbeck, recent Billy Flynn, shows the camera around his dressing room at the Ambassador. http://www.broadway.com/shows/chicago/vide...eck-of-chicago/
November 13, 201113 yr Thanks, B T. I only saw the dressing room in the Cambridge - it didn't look like the Broadway one at all
November 13, 201113 yr Author It doesn't look as roomy as the one Darius had at the New London. However Tony Yazbeck seems to like a lot of stuff around him, so it's hard to tell. I've no doubt Darius never cares what his dressing room is like, but it's interesting for us.
November 22, 201113 yr Author John O'Hurley apparently finishes on Broadway on 18th December. Darius is still at the Garrick then.
November 22, 201113 yr Darius was told that it would be the first change after his run here - if he was free. So I thought maybe February/March time. D is working elsewhere Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve Unless, of course, they put a stand in for a few weeks Edited November 22, 201113 yr by megham

I'm working nights New Year's Eve, but could be available Christmas Eve :D Well a boy can dream can't he
November 23, 201113 yr In LA, Paul. I don't think either of us will make that. It sounded as though he was really looking forward to it
November 23, 201113 yr Author Thanks for confirming it's LA, megham. Even with the time lapse I thought working here on Christmas Eve would be cutting it a bit fine.
November 23, 201113 yr He's stops his stint on the 23rd BT. Just enough time to get back to LA for Christmas Eve.
November 23, 201113 yr Thanks Meg :) No I don't think Lyn would be too pleased if I missed our Christmas together to nip over to LA to see D  Just enough time to get back to LA for Christmas Eve. His first Family Christmas as a married man. I bet it'll be very special for him :)
November 23, 201113 yr I think having children (and my Mum) made Christmas more special for me. I never knew which was the biggest little kid among those three. We used to be woken up by the three of them giggling
December 3, 201113 yr Author I'll only be happy when I see an official announcement of the date for Darius taking over as Billy on Broadway. I'm really worried that all the troubles with Iran might scupper it..
December 3, 201113 yr It wont. He has first refusal for 3 cast changes. They know how good he is and they really want him there
December 3, 201113 yr That's good to hear. I'm glad somebody else is giving him the credit he deserves at last! Sue
December 3, 201113 yr Author It wont. He has first refusal for 3 cast changes. They know how good he is and they really want him there Thanks, megham. I'll be patient then and just get worked up over Christmas shopping etc. instead. I 've suddenly realised Christmas is a lot nearer than I thought.
December 3, 201113 yr Until I have a kitchen and dining room, I can't really get anything in for Christmas. I have boxes full waiting to be rehomed in the new kitchen and they seem to have taken every spare inch. I'm hoping something is finished before the kids come - I can't see where 4 beds are going to go.
