Posted November 12, 201113 yr Metallica have confirmed they will headline at Donington where they will play the album 'Metallica' AKA The Black Album in its entirety. Black Sabbath have also confirmed they will close the weekend by headlining Sunday night. This is also the classic line up with Ozzy back in the fold.
November 12, 201113 yr Black Sabbath have also confirmed they will close the weekend by headlining Sunday night. This is also the classic line up with Ozzy back in the fold. Didn't have much choice given I doubt Dio was up for it  Not exactly my cup of tea but it sounds like a very strong lineup, I know Download has been criticised for being damper than Sonisphere recently but this should go some way to correcting that.
November 12, 201113 yr Another year of me not going to Download then! I guess Black Sabbath could be seen as a big deal, and Metallica have headlined Download so many times it's just boring to see their name, however incredible they are live. I reckon Sonisphere will top it again this year, they seem to put in alot of effort to get a incredibly strong line up.
November 12, 201113 yr Author I kind of want to see both Metallica annd Sabbath just because they're massive but I've never really liked either of them. I don't argue Sabbath's importance and influence but they just never really moved me. I always prefer Led Zep even though in terms of style and sound I should prefer Sabbath.
November 17, 201113 yr can't go wrong with Prodigy, immense live act. I think it's a really strong line-up. Not my cup of tea personally. But you can't go wrong with The Prodigy, Black Sabbath must be a massive coup, and even though Metallica have played tons of times before people still go so wet for them.
November 18, 201113 yr I'm still struggling to get my head around The Prodigy being announced this year? theyre not really the typuical music Download aim for?
