I saw a load of cast members yesterday literally around the corner from my house as i was walking to uni.

I think they were outside a registry office and i saw a few people with posh hats on so i presume a wedding...?

caine and charity, jimmy nicola... 2 forthcoming weddings..

I enjoyed the shadracks mishaps last nite but i have to mute when maisie comes on screen she is absolutly terrible acting out these emotional scenes she is nearly as bad as rosie webster from corrie.
I hate how they've just kind of forgotten the whole Aaron 'is he or isn't he' gay saga... not even a mention...?
It's only been two weeks and he's still in Europe with Cain isn't he?
Emmerdale's lost the comedy now that Shadrack's departed :(

Shadrach was a genuinely woeful character and he absolutely won't be missed by me. Utterly disgusting man with no redeeming features. He wasn't even funny in a laughing at him sort of sense, he was just uncomfortable to watch. I hate how he does absolutely crap all and expects Lisa and Zach to wait on him constantly. Sadly he comes back; gladly he departs again in the summer (for good!).

im pretty close to agreeing with you on this jark.. i dont dislike him as much as you appear to, but he is a one trick pony and his joke character is now wearing thin... but it was a funny but farciacal recent exit.

as for the aaron storyline, this is what emmerdale does.... 'holds' storylines whilst others take precidence. his trip to holland is the perfect excuse to rest it.

All soaps do that in fairness (or at least ED and EE). It's because when you're at the forefront of a storyline like Aaron was for weeks on end you're filming daily and you need a break after a while. It's always most noticable after characters get married - they've had so much screen-time in the run up to the wedding that they then go on a four week honeymoon. :heehee:

I realise I'm stating the obvious here, I just find it quite fascinating really. I'd like to be in a soap if I was an actor, I think it'd be quite rewarding.

Marvellous episode tonight. I'm really liking the storylines with Chas, Carl and the kids. It's so interesting to see Chas' view on it all. I have to say though Nico is being an utterly repugnant bitch of late. I hate how she's so quick to jump down the kids' throats and make them feel small. Cow!

.... but isnt that what makes nicola such a great character?...

i dont get how the kids were 'lost' in the snow...surely youd go to where they were last seen and follow their footsteps!

Adam is the one responsible for the lamb deaths on the farm

A barrel of toxins he accidently kicked over a few weeks ago has leaked into the animal feed.

Not to me. Don't get me wrong, she's usually a firm favourite of mine and I love that she can be a right bossy cow, but I don't buy that she would be so nasty to young children, especially now that she's a mother herself. She does have a heart, even if she keeps it well-hidden.

New addition to the cast:

Jason Merrells (Casualty, Cutting It, Lark Rise To Candleford, Waterloo Road) is joining as Declan, a businessman who invests in Home Farm when Natasha realises she's running out of money. Quite excited about this one; he's a really talented actor (he was excellent as the rather hopeless Jack in Waterloo Road) and it'll be good for Natasha to have new characters to interact with.

who was he in lark rise to candleford? i dont recognise him... love that show btw.

I don't watch it other than for having caught the odd snippet but if my memory serves me right he played a doctor...
thought last nights double was poor.... really boooorrred of maisie now but shes a better actress then amanda donahoe, shes been consistently poor.

great storylines atm.. (this chemical spill), but the authorities would have to clear it up, like, immediately!

and this blaming ryan and faye for the dads disappearance is stupid...the mess is the dads fault, no one elses.

  • 2 weeks later...
oh dear.... troubles brewing if charity ever finds out that cain was behind the heist! i really like the male dominated soap atm, the men are interesting, i like the aliances between rival alpha males ... the sharmas, cain, carl, the feuding half brothers ryan and nathan, and the possible closet gay aaron and that farm boy... paddy is always good for a laugh too..
