Last night's double was great. Emmerdale is definitely on a roll. It's a real shame only 4.4m saw the second episode since some of the acting from John Middleton and Charlotte Bellamy was marvellous but I suppose the first half was more intense anyway. I like that they intersected it with some proper comic relief too. Charity is very easily one of my favourites... and finally I'm liking the new (returnee) locum vet, Rhonda I think? She's going to cause some agony for Marlon isn't she? Should be fun. :D

that is emmerdales strength and has been for many years now .... the odd quip thats often nearly lost in convo, viv and nicola are the usual suspects.

loved it.... sally being evil to the end, that stare she gave ashly, creepy, un-nerving but great!

Emmerdale is amazing atm...can't be missed at all! Even better than Corrie in my eyes, and I'm usually far more fussed about that than Emmerdale. The Ashley/Laurel/Sally storyline was great, and I'm loving the Aaron one. Can't wait to see this unfolding over the coming weeks.

id suggest that corrie is at the bottom of the pile atm ... its just dull, even i prefer eastenders but imho emmerdales the only 'must see'.

Next week Charity and Cain

go for a joyride and then decide to take up grand theft auto as a means of making a quick buck but one of them gets caught.

Can't wait!

Loved how that played out last night although I spotted rather a gaping plot-hole - they drove Cain's car to the hotel so surely it's still there? :heehee: Whoops.

New addition to the cast, albeit a fairly minor one:

Kirsty-Leigh Porter (David Platt's girlfriend in Corrie last year, also has credits in Shameless and Ashes To Ashes) plays Roz, a cocaine dealer friend of Holly Barton's. Picture here.

 yep, another gaping hole served up from the emmerdale continuity crew... plus, how tf did he get the car keys? did i miss something?

Due to popular demand this thread has been pinned. As long as it stays fairly active it shall remain so.

Don't bitch at me, cause it won't change anything.

She went on a joyride with Andy and Katie years ago and then managed to get away with it while they took the blame or something like that.

Feels like so long ago but I think they killed someone on that joyride and tried to hide it - wasn't it a teacher?

its kinda vague now was that when the king guy got killed?

that was robert sugden and andy fighting over katie when the youngest king got killed ... if my memory serves me well

aaron was utterly BRILLIANT again last night, how good is this storyline when the torment of a gay guy can be felt by straights! lol, normally its not easy to get empathy for anybody who isnt the same sort of person (young/old/gay/straight/black/white etc ) but a damn good actor and damn good storyline has managed this here.

id rate this storyline as possibly THE best ever in a soap .... aaron wont win owt at the forthcoming soap awards, thatll go to some plank from eastenders or corrie <_< , but he should... seldom have i ever been impressed with acting from what is 'light entertainment'.

Okay the best storyline ever in a soap is a bit mad. There's been better this year. But it's certainly very good.

thats opinion... mine is that it is one of the best ever in a soap, if not THE best (in the way it was handled/written)

There are still big faults with the storyline though? The way the writers have had Marlon and Chas constantly on Paddy's back has really detracted from the quality of the acting and the emotion between Paddy and Aaron.
