The girl who plays Holly Barton has improved quite a bit since she was last on.

Anyone notice quite a few smokers on screen lately in emmerdale and weirdly enough none of them smoke cigarettes they all smoke cigars, looks like the recession hasnt hot emmerdale!!

She still annoys the hell out of me, its that voice!

Ros is SO much better than Holly that it's actually quite funny. She's so much more of a natural actress.

im still loving it atm... jackson has grown quickly on me, in fact i like most of the new characters ..... unusually for me!

the new charactors are good and im looking forward to pauline quirke joining aswell.

what a wonderful drama... tragedy, comedy, romance, menace, all in equal ammounts and without the hyperbole other soaps employ. best thing on tv by a mile.

I've been a bit behind and I'm still catching up. So far I'm up to the episode where Holly overdoses in the club. Some thoughts:

 

-Both Barton sisters are still terrible

-Are they actually trying to ruin Doug?

-Jimmy needs to never try and do angry again because it comes across completely pantomime

-Good to see Declan mixing with people who aren't the Wyldes

-Natasha is properly amazing again and proving why she's the best thing about the show

-Nathan was brilliant last week too when he was freaking out over Cain's demand for cash

-I hope Shadrach dies within the next few months like the good doc promised!

I still find Jackson creepy, probably to do with his Hollyoaks character.

 

Also, LOL at Aaron's tracksuit bottoms!

I've just watched the July 9th episode and it was okay. Nothing spectacular.

another great week on (imho) the uks best soap, the nice twists and new depths plummed by nathan.. what a great twist that was! framing someone else for the murder! faye as well... i can believe that, her usefulness in emmerdale is pretty thin since mark was killed.

 

very brave of them too tackling older male virginity, why not? i know at least two in their 40's...hold on, ones 50!

i lol'd litterally when shadrach refered to advocaat as 'soup at christmas'...
