Is nobody watching? It's judgment day for Cain this week, s'gonna be big.

Must admit im enjoying emmerdale at the moment and not just this week, ive enjoyed the last 3-4 weeks of it.

It's so ridiculously underrated. Like all of the soaps it took a bit of a dive over Summer but for the past few months now it's been hugely entertaining and consistently strong. The Gennie/Nikhil saga has been particularly good, a well told story with comedy and drama and two characters who previously weren't all that becoming quite great. This week is off to a flying start too, the atmosphere of all the night time stuff is really amazing.

It is good at the moment, i think my problem with emmerdale is when its bad its absolutly terrible and i also think they concentrate to much on trying to topple corrie and in particular eastenders ratings wise. For me i think when they focus on the show they get it right, and i think she should accept they will always be 3rd in terms of soaps and that wont change.

Well last night's second episode got 8.4m in contrast with Corrie's 8m so they don't have to be third all the time. Obviously big storylines like this are rare but Emmerdale is so far ahead of Corrie in quality, it deserves to be recognised. And I don't agree that when it's bad it's terrible, even when there's not much going on I tend to laugh out loud watching it because the humour is dead-on.

 

This week has been amazing. Charity in particular was just stunning last night when she went mental in the factory.

Johsn exit was very well done with strong performances and i enjoyed the story aswell, Moira put in some excellent performances aswell,

Good to see someone bar aaron get centre stage aswell.

Just watched through last night's episode of Emmerdale on ITV Player even I don't watch Emmerdale at all usually. I watched it because the amazingly talented Carolynne Poole (3rd on Fame Academy, Judges Houses on X Factor last year) had her debut appearance of the soap.

 

It looks like she is playing this guy's girlfriend who seems to have had a previous relationship in which he had a son, and hi ex-wife (or girlfriend) works at the bar. Anyone Carolynne seemed to really fit in and is a natural. I understand she is on a 3-month trial (or something like that) so hopefully she will get an extended contract if it all works out! :D

Yeah Carolynne plays Talia, girlfriend of the endlessly vile Justin. I quite liked her in her brief first appearance. The whole episode was pretty good. The sight of Nicola in her jubilee wig was quite something.

Thanks for letting me know! The girl who plays Alicia who I think is Justin's ex-wife/girlfriend seems a really good actress, I was really impressed by her! She reminds me of someone too, I can think who though!

Alicia is AMAZING. She's my favourite right now. Seriously good actor as you say!

 

Im with you on Alicia, shema eshe is leaving for a while. Chas is gone beyond annoying now and her charactor is gone too far out of charactor with this Cmeron business. Nikill and Jenny, are they the couple with the least amount of on screen chemistry in any soap?

Nikhil and Gennie are brilliant. They certainly have a LOT more chemistry than Chas and Cameron.

Big spoilers re the 40th:

a death has been confirmed for the live episode and apparently it's someone who "had it coming". It's got to be either Cameron or Robbie on those grounds. I'm going for Robbie.

 

There will also be two weddings (Declan/Katie and Dan/Chas) and two births (Debbie and Gennie) during the 40th week.

 

 

And Bernice is coming back!

Felt so sorry for Laurel at the end of tonight's :( You can tell it's all building up to Bernice coming back. Can't wait to see what happens.

Really good at the minute?! It's a trainwreck. The Maurel story is the very worst thing ever.
