There are still big faults with the storyline though? The way the writers have had Marlon and Chas constantly on Paddy's back has really detracted from the quality of the acting and the emotion between Paddy and Aaron.

i dont agree... id suggest the marlon thing in particular (although slightly laboured) adds to the dimension of the storyline, and marlon is a brilliant and likeable character, just like paddy is.

see this is the difference between ee and ed, i LIKE the characters in ed, i dont like the characters in ee.

this sounds brilliant!

Emmerdale character Aaron Livesy will try to kill himself in an upcoming episode.

Aaron, played by Danny Miller, will make the suicide attempt to stop people discovering that he is gay, The Sun reports.

He punches his new boyfriend Jackson Walsh to stop him revealing their relationship, meaning that he gets in trouble with the police. When he is released, he decides to gas himself in his car to stop people asking questions about his sexuality.

"It's make or break time, but Aaron is terrified of what the future holds, and he feels ending it all is the only way out," Miller explained. "It's like he's been backed into a corner."

Aaron is rescued and taken to hospital, where he eventually comes round. However, he still fears that people will find out he is gay.

"He feels a mixture of raw emotions, really," Miller continued. "Scared, angry, depressed. He tells Paddy he wishes he was dead.

"Ironically, this marks the start of Aaron's journey, not the end as he intended. He's going to have to come to terms with who he is."

The scenes will air later this month.

This Declan character seems very promising already. I loved all of the childishness in last night's episode like Jai telling Nikhil to 'buy a personality' and Nikhil scowling before managing 'well you buy a new face!', and then Chas doing that piercing giggle of her's when she realised what Charity and Cain were up to, not to mention Marlon and Paddy just being ODD.

Sorry to double post but tonight was comedy gold throughout. I wish there were the words for just how much I love Charity, and of course Chas is on fire.

Also well done to Emmerdale for beating EastEnders during the clash last night (not taking into account the BBC3 repeat mind you).

ahhh people are seeing sense at last! :P

agreed with your posts on all points.... especially that funny cackle thing chas did, we just looked at eachother then burst out laughing!

felt sorry for miserable sam this week, but if i was olena, i wouldnt either! eli has woken up this week too with some cracking performances, pity hes leaving. not only is there great banter between marlon and paddy, but paddy and aaron too.

imho emmerdale is sh1t hot atm... and is imho the only 'must see' prog on the box.

Only started watching this a couple of months ago, and have to agree it wipes the floor with Eastenders at the moment. I usually have a heart of stone, but today's episodes were quite moving. The people who play Aaron, Paddy & Chas have been brilliant

of course i agree, watching aarons torment has made fantastic viewing.

I've never been a fan of Paddy - I think the association with Marlon has put me off him over the years but he is fantastic with Chas and Aaron. Amazing how a terrible character [Marlon ;)] can have a negative effect on others.

Diane annoyed me last night with her comments last night - and saying it to the Dingles in front of people. Lets forgive and forget Andy and what he did to Jo. <_<

Aaron has been played fantastically and the inter link with paddy has been great, for me chastity has ruined it asi think she is a weak actress, the guy playing aaron has delivered faultless performances.

Emmerdale is now the only soap i never miss.

I've missed Charity this week though.

:P

Yes, for every week Charity's about it feels like there's three where she's absent. Shame since she's my favourite character.

Mine also. She's soap perfection!

ya 9 awards is great but remember last year hollyoaks led the way with nominations and walked away empty handed, although i do think emmerdale are in with a shout of three awards this year it will be between aaron and stacey from eastenders for best dramatic performance, and they could possibly get best storyline aswell, although i have to say if eastenders dont win the awards i would like emmerdale to win over corrie.

eastenders and corrie though are the popular soaps and usually win over emmerdale etc. emmerdale isnt hyped up like the major two are, so they will always have an uphill struggle.

Nicola storyline is so daft. Shame, I thought we were getting away from crap like that.
