Just found it rather daft tbh. Oh well.

 

Not a Nathan fan either but I have quite liked his scenes over last couple of days. I really like Declan though so look forward to, like you say, the inevitable smacking!

Declan is fantastic. Jason Merrels is one of the best actors on British television, I've always liked him since the Cutting It days.

 

I don't mind the Nicola storyline but I don't feel like it's been very well executed at all. When she bit Cathy I didn't feel anything; amusement, horror, nothing. Still, it gives Viv a genuine reason to be sour rather than just pissing all over everybody else's parade for the sheer fun of it, which is all she ever does.

 

My biggest gripe with Emmerdale this past month is Terry. He needs to go, NOW. There isn't a less sympathetic character on television. All he does is SHOUT. He's constantly looking for reasons to SHOUT and get angry with Eric and it's very, very tiring. I hope he's given the chop pronto.

Agreed 100% about Terry. Absolutely dire character these days. He is ruining all Vals scenes :drama: He has become the Billy Mitchell of the Dales.

Notes on tonight's eps:

 

-Nathan has a wonderful physique (posh way of saying I quite fancied him in that scene).

-Nicola's been great, I always like to see a more vulnerable side to her.

-Natasha and Declan have a fair bit of chemistry.

-Eve seems to be finding more of a personality at last.

-Brenda is pretty underrated as a background character.

-Viv needs ditching pronto.

Natasha and Declan are actually fabulous together. I did not expect them to work so well. Such chemistry.

 

Viv annoys the hell out of me. Just nothing about her I like.

 

I am also a little in love with Nikhil. I love his and Maisie's scenes!

disagree about viv, who has for ages been the most funny character in soaps although recently shes been below par.

She's just too relentlessly nasty. There's been the odd scene where she's upset or whatever (I think she had a moment at the bonfire, the night Laurel's coat caught on fire) and we're meant to feel sorry for her but you just can't because she's such a disgustingly rude woman to absolutely everybody.

I have to admit ... as much as I like Emmerdale (and did like Viv early on) I now find her as annoying as Dot Cotton.

Really? I find the contradictions to be that the writers aren't sure if she's a complete bitch or someone were supposed to love to hate.

 

Either way, I've gone off her so much. She's just a horrible character now with no redeeming features IMO.

vivs contradictions are there for humour... blatantly so, but i agree shes not been the same since she went to prison. id put betty eggleton as emmerdales dot cotton... thats one character i dont like, but is nessecary (sp?) to the show.

 

anyway, i think nicolas worst in the nastiness dept. but a fantastic character nontheless.

Oh, come on! Viv is much nastier than Nicola. It's very rare for Nico to be so nasty that you take a disliking to her character. The one time I can recall in the past few months is when she was really foul to Thomas and Anya, I seem to recall I said something in here about it being out of character to be so horrible to a child.

Charlie is a creep, hope Diane stays away!

MOIRA WAS AMAZING TONIGHT. Eve continues to grow on me but I'd be very happy if Moira was to lose her shit and give her a good ass-kicking.

I love Eve! :D Suzanne is playing her brilliantly. Moira was great tonight and I'm looking forward to how that storyline develops.

Moira really is fabulous. I hope we get to see her in action :D

 

Cain is bugging me. He needs scenes with Charity for me to like him at all!
