The ladies who play Debbie and Jasmine are doing a pretty good job with the acting for this.

it makes a cxhange though from the usual surly debbies 'one look' and the disneyesque doh-eyed jasmine being nicey nicey everywhere.... but its a nonsense.

older businessmen dont have a very long life expectancy on emmerdale!

marlon MUST get an award for his portrayal of a betrayed husband, his performance was deeply moving and simply brilliant.

even donna raised her usually wooden performance to actually act.

Amanda Donohoe (remember CJ Lamb from LA Law) and Maxwell Caulfield are coming into it to take on the 'Big House'. They're due to stay until next Christmas by which time I'm sure the writers will have devised an awful 'death by Christmas Tree' storyline!

is eli being charged with anything? i mean, he helped them (deb and jas) cover up the body and then lied about it.
i watched emmerdale yesterrday and recorded eastenders(cudnt miss out on my eastenders now) but i have to give credit where credit is due they gave clive hornby a very good send off,i like the flashbacks and pictures on screen of him and having annie back made it real also,it was a very touching episode and i hope his family enjoyed it to,and rip clive

i agree, it was a very touching episode as the actor WAS dead, not just the charactor. ok it was predictable, cheesy in places, but what else could they do? it was a fitting tribute the the shows long term, popular, charactor ..... and didnt it send goose pimples up yer spine when they super-imposed his image (as a ghost) at the end?....

ya i agree the pic at the end did send shivers up my spine but it makes one think,i always feel a sense of just grabblking life and realise i must make the most of it when i see things like that,as you say when the actor dies not just the charactor it strikes more of a chord as its real

i find it rather odd that no one here seems to watch what is the best soap on british tv! its even lost its 'pinned' slot!

emmerdale is the only soap ill not miss, the rest are forgettable for most of the time. only emmerdale offers light entertainment laced with satire and humour.

its great now cain dingle is back, with him, aaron and eli (sp?) the dingles are at last almost believeable as a band of n'er do wells.

Not sarcasm?

Sorry I find Emmerdale painful to watch now.

I want it back to its best - Cain/Sadie exit one of best weeks of soap ever!

Oh, the pinned thread has gone, not surprised though. I don't watch any soap religiously (although I have been watching a few early episodes of Prisoner Cell Block H on youtube lately  ) but I did catch Emmerdale last night. Probably won't see it again for another month or two
I hate this show its just full of stuck up old people

old person show

yeah.... a 15 year old girl sleeping with her 'brother' is really 'old' innit <_<. the show never fails to provide humour...but i guess that if it isnt all glossed up and hyped then 'the x factor generation' wont get it...

LOL! There aren't any Stacey Slaters in it.

I like Emmerdale. Cain is back :cheer:
