His mixtape -Those Who Wait - features appearances from Gorillaz and Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry. Released in September it has been downloaded 21,000 times. Daley is busy working on his debut album with Dre of Dre and Vidal (Alicia Keys, Usher), Bernard Butler (Suede, Tricky) and Shea Taylor (Ne-Yo, Beyonce). The 22 year old recently appeared on Jools Holland with Wretch 32 performing their track Long Way Home. Another track from this mixtape - Game Over - was playlisted on 1Xtra, supported by Mistajam, Ronnie Herel, Jo Whiley and Trevor Nelson. Tipped as 'the future of homegrown soul' by The Guardian. 0xuTsKLkP24 It's all a bit plodding and pedestrian at the moment but given the names of the people he's worked with and the fact he's got Polydor pushing him massively in 2012. This geezer should well for himself. You can download his recent FREE mixtape here: http://daley.tv/
November 21, 201113 yr I downloaded the EP a while ago off the back of loving Doncamatic last year, which for intents and purposes is him, really, with some Gorillaz production. Only thing that really stands out for me (aside from the remix of Doncamatic) is Smoking Gun, and that's lacking a killer chorus at the end, instead too much repetition of 'If it's gonna be over' that lets down an amazing 3 minutes throughout most of the song. It could use a remix to spice it up, really. The rest of the EP is rather dry for me, really. :( I would like him to get some success, he's going to need some better material though.
November 21, 201113 yr 'Spent' is amazing, but I haven't listened to much else. I'm surprised that he isn't more well-known!
