Posted November 22, 201113 yr Debut single from the 16 year old (from Scunthorpe no less - moved down under six years ago!) that won X Factor Australia last night. Wouldn't mind if the UK winner had a song like this, it's basically a good One Direction song crossed with Pink's Raise Your Glass; tkCUw2nyHSU
November 22, 201113 yr I followed Aussie X-Factor up until Christina was eliminated (BOOHISS) and Reece was probably my least favourite of the three finalists, of the 3 I only remotely liked Johnny  This is a good track though :o
November 22, 201113 yr That pictures make him look older than 16, I'd have put him about 19/20. (not that that stops me finding him a little hot though) Anyway love the song, definitely get One Direction vibes from it too, especially the chorus. He sounds a lot like them vocally too.
November 22, 201113 yr Author He looks different in that screen grab to every other picture I've seen of him, where he definitely looks 16. I wonder if the facial hair in that picture is drawn on?
November 22, 201113 yr Oh indeed I googled him and he does look 16, or indeed even younger. And not very attractive.
November 22, 201113 yr I find him kind of attractive in some photos  Nothing 'OMG GET YOUR CLOTHES OFF' worthy but he's OK to look at sometimes.
November 22, 201113 yr What's with everybody ripping off Raise Your Glass wholesale lately? Half the songs on One Direction's album do it. This is probably an even worse offender. They all sound so ridiculously indentikit and faceless.
November 22, 201113 yr One Direction crossed with Raise Your Glass describes it perfectly. Sounds like some incredibly generic light pop-party-rock. Maybe it's me being up for 15 hours but not excited about that at all. I haven't been following X Factor Aussie, what was he up against?
November 23, 201113 yr He has a good recording voice but they were selling him a rockstar and this is mainstream pop, typuical really. Tbh he probably only won because of his colab with Kylie, he was nearly eliminated a few weeks ago. I guess the voting turns around quickly when only 1.4m people are watching. The winners of Australian singing competitions struggle to make it big, Stan Walker etc. I mean the fella who won last year probably sold about 5 copies of his single or something like that. It's not the same platform that the UK X Factor is. On a related note, it'll be interesting to see if the US X Factor is a better platform than American Idol, it really needs to be.

November 23, 201113 yr More importantly, why didn't Josh Brookes even make judges houses :( If he is the one that nearly always had headphones round his neck, then yes he was robbed! He was amazing. Oh the final 3, Johnny was by far my favourite of the three. Havent propperly kept this up since Jacqui Newland was eliminated in week 3. Have just watched the ones I've liked performances. Christina Parie should have got alot further than she did as well. She was really very good. I hope she gets a record contract, along with Johnny. However I don't know what Australia is like for giving out record deals to X Factor people compared to the UK.
