This song I had an interest in at the start of the year but I've almost completely forgotten about it now - so it's appropriate to put it at the bottom of the chart. Taio Cruz is at #99 with his Travie McCoy collaboration "Higher" (no, not the Kylie Minogue version) which is quite a nice song but nothing special and it's generic Taio Cruz (not as generic as Little Bad Girl which I hated) Imo it was lucky to reach the UK Top 10 but I'm glad it did, hopefully Troublemaker can become a decent sized hit in the new year. Eric Prydz is at #98 with "Niton", I much prefer the original instrumental to the vocal remix, but I've posted the vocal because the video to it is good. It sadly missed T40 but I'm hoping he can make a bigger comeback soon, "Call On Me" and "Pjanoo" are both top house tunes so Eric should try for another chart hit. Wretch 32 goes in at #97 with his debut single Traktor, which I find a lot better than his follow ups - however he still has another entry higher up the chart with Chase & Status

Starting off is an act that I used to like when they first came out but I soon lost interest when they started releasing really generic singles like She Makes Me Wanna, The Club Is Alive (I hate it despite the #7 peak) and boring ballads like Take A Chance On Me and Love You More. 'Eyes Wide Shut' however is their last good single, yes it's generic and samples Calvin Harris, but it works well and Tinie Tempah drops a short rap (and looking at his discography in my chart that can only be a good thing) Tinie's rap is very short and not his best but however JLS sound very nice on the track and I have to admit that I like this. Next is a song from Jay-Z and Kanye West's album Watch The Throne with a great use of sample from one of Otis Redding's old songs (yes I can't be arsed to look it up) There is no melody/chorus and just their rapping which makes the song work well and is very different to most songs you'd find in the charts. At #94 is a song I discovered via Scott Mills' 'Ready For The Weekend' show, when I used to listen to it - which is a great eurodance tune that wasn't really promoted anywhere and is the first of many "DNC"s to appear on my chart. I believe someone entered it for BJSC too before I briefly joined, and it flopped.
December 26, 201113 yr Author Alcohol I assume! I actually like the majority of your most hated chart but then I like nearly everything I hear  That said, there was nothing that I 'love' high up in there so not too bad... Will be interesting to see your top 100 :D nice to hear you're lovin' the chart - however I think those 40 hated tracks are all awful in their own way :puke2: I can reveal that there is no Ed Sheeran to be found (YNM,IDNY just missed the cut, Lego House was a bit further down and The A-Team is my least favourite of the era thanks to radio overplaying it) but Maroon 5 appear high on my chart.

Eyes Wide Shut is my favourite JLS single too.

It's a europop song that got entered for BJSC. I don't know why I liked it over the many other europop songs that probably sound similar to this, maybe because this year has been the best for eurodance in a long time (expect Inna, Alexandra Stan, Martin Solveig and others higher in the chart) At #92 is the follow up to smash hit Loca People (which will be appearing much higher in my countdown) which will likely be released in the UK next July and flop hard. Paso has the same vocalist and follows the same "formula" as Loca People which was enough for me to love it, but it won't have the longevity that LP did in my chart. At #91 is the first of NINE entries for Rihanna, this song I got into because California King Bed was massively popular at the time and I hated it. MD really should've been a single here, it got to #1 in France and smashed in some other countries.

The vocals from Miss Palmer made the song unique however and it hit my top 5 on release. At #89 are Cover Drive with their first single which got lots of promotion on Capital before release (this is why I was all like 'WHO???' as soon as it was released, but I gave it a few listens and loved it) the girls attitude on the song makes it great and CD deserve to have another hit with next single Twilight which will climb up my chart in 2012. Nicki who? At #88 is two of my favourite US producers Deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner with "Animal Rights" which featured on Deadmau5's album 4X4=12. It was #2 in the last week of 2010 but got enough love from me to put it in 2011s chart. I don't need to talk about who is at #87 as I'm sure she will feature in everybody's end of year chart - let's just say she dominated 2011 :P

The latest single from Lady GaGa is at #85 - I charted it for a few weeks when the album got released, then after her performance of it on The X Factor it re-grew on me and I realised why I had liked it in the first place. Rihanna's 2nd entry is next, I liked it when it got released and went all over the music channels, then it quickly dropped out of the chart to make way for We Found Love which will appear later on the chart. Next up is a song from drum and bass legends High Contrast with their biggest UK chart hit to date "The First Note Is Silent" which features Tiesto and Underworld, it's been going up and down in the top 20 until last week when it just grew on me and it needed to be a top 5 hit. The breakdown of that song is epic and when it drops you can't not move to it. Another Lady GaGa song drops out early, this time it's her third single "The Edge Of Glory" which peaked early and dropped quickly when radio started to rape it. I find it slightly overrated and think it's spent too many weeks in the T40 but it's still a good song from her and you gotta love that trumpet solo
December 27, 201113 yr A few good ones in here so far, my favourite being Titanium. Not heard that Underworld/High Contrast one before but it sounds quite good on first listen.

Their last collaboration Umbrella spent 10 weeks at the top of the UK chart so I think TTT would be a better choice than fan favourite Where Have You Been (that can be the 4th single, then the full version of Birthday Cake for 5th single - I need a full version of that song lol it's that good) Britney's massively hyped "comeback" single is the one that I actually liked, so it's a shame she relatively flopped here, I was uninterested in future releases however just like the rest of the UK. Jessie's debut single "Do It Like A Dude" which climbed to its peak this year spent a long time in the lower end of my chart, and is this years #77. She has 2 more entries. Example's first of three entries is his floppy third single which was released months after the album drop. The whole song is great but I love the dub step middle eight just because it sounds different to the rest of the song and has him rapping. I love the fact he can sing and rap, unlike most rappers.

After the show I looked on iTunes to see Iris go right up, even hitting the iTunes #1 but not getting it officially - so I found the original and I loved it, I'm not usually a fan of this type of rock ballad but I love this song, even if it's thanks to The X Factor. Starting the top 75 is Calvin Harris' instrumental buzz single "Awooga" which became the B-side of "Bounce" which appears much higher in the chart. On the week it peaked the only thing stopping Awooga being a #2 hit for Harris was himself and Kelis. Calvin is the unluckiest man on my chart ever, having both his #2 hits stay there for 3 weeks without ever going to #1 - more on that later. Finally it's Yasmin with "Finish Line". I could never connect with her on her first solo single "On My Own", it was just dull and dated for me - but then she released this and things turned around for her. It's not just the male vocal shouts of "FINISH LINE" that make the song for me, it's the 90s style beat and her lovely vocals too.

I haven't played the song much towards the end of ht year but I loved it at the time - there aren't enough good D&B songs being made sadly. Next is T-Pain's biggest UK hit to date as a solo artist which features Lily Allen (she needs to return to music!!!) He puts a great spin on her hit "Who'd Have Known" and he makes a good use of auto tune (although most people disagree on this one). At #71 is Dappy of N-Dubz fame with his first single "No Regrets", which was not what people expected - a rap song with an actual message rather than "I get lots of girls and money in the club". Hopefully his next single is just as good, however I don't think it will be as it features Brian May of Queen and is titled "Rock Star" (I don't hate on Queen, I just think rock and rap don't go together well)

Next is Alex Metric (I haven't heard of him either) collaborating with Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello. I was disappointed that we only got 1 below average SHM song this year but we've got Antidote to look forward to in 2012 (#5 in my weekly chart atm) Anyway Steve Angello can't go wrong with a club banger and this song works very well (by the way don't listen to the Ian Brown version, his vocals really do ruin it) After Beyonce sampled Major Lazer's "Pon de Floor" I instantly hated Beyonce's RTW(G) and loved PDF enough for it to shoot right up to #3. It might be a few years old but it sill sounds fresh and not like the mess that is Run The World. Next up are two songs that are about a year old now, Jessie J's title track from her debut album "Who You Are" connected with me after a contestant performed it on The X Factor (note - not when she performed it on TXF, because she's rubbish live) Anyway the song gets a lot of hate but I think the diva vocals work and make the song emotional. At #66 is "Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites" which is over a year old but I only got into his music recently. This year he's been getting more and more hype and becoming massive on the internet, even in the USA. It's surprising that the song hasn't touched the UK T100, because it has over 50 million views on youtube :o

"Crush On You" entered at 10 on the album release and climbed back up the chart on release to #9, however this isn't their worst official single - that goes to Reaching Out which I never really got into. Next is the first entry for 50 Cent. Unfortunately for him he had 3 big singles on my chart but all of them were featured credits - make some solo material next year 50! Anyway the song was an unlikely hit as it sounds more R&B/hip hop than the average club banger but it went to #6 in the UK. Next up are two songs that have only entered the chart recently but I like enough to be higher in the year end chart than some of the older songs.Nadia Ali is at #63 with big club hit "Pressure" - she still looks hot and can sing. Of course the great instrumental from Starkillers and Alex Kenji make the song what it is - they didn't give the song a chance in the UK, the song just missing T100 when it got released last month. At #62 is Flo Rida's "Good Feeling", which happens to sample the same song that Avicii sampled in his club hit "Levels" - more on that later. I was a big fan of Levels of course but I didn't hate Flo Rida for sampling it - the rapping is great and shows that Flo can still make a hit. I don't like it as much as some of his previous hits but it's nice and a deserved hit. Missing out on a top 60 place is Lana Del Rey, who is tipped for massive success next year with "Video Games". I turned it off when I first discovered it on BJSC but later when it got lots of pre-orders on iTunes I re-discovered it and loved it. Before this year I wouldn't have liked this type of ballad, but after Someone Like You and Jar Of Hearts being hits on my chart this was as well, however looking at the chart run it took a very long time to peak - and had a dramatic tumble afterwards

Very original idea even if it was done before in flop single Imma Be (although the change in that song isn't so dramatic) Next we have two songs that placed in last years EOY chart - firstly Avicii who was a late peaker with "My Feelings For You". Avicii was very unlucky with this song, being my #52 song of 2010 and #59 of 2011 (missing the top 50 twice) but luckily for him "Levels" features much higher up the chart. Then we get to the BEPs AGAIN, this time with my #11 song of 2010 "The Time (The Dirty Bit)" which I kept loving into the start of 2011. Then we get to #57, Aloe Blacc's "I Need A Dollar" which was a European hit in 2010 but only crossed over this year and was a radio favourite. I love the simplicity of the chorus and a subject that isn't found in most songs (loss of job). Unfortunately for Aloe he is a one hit wonder in my chart (and the UK) and doesn't have any chance of getting another hit single. Another one-hit wonder at #56, this time for Jeremih who has teamed up with 50 Cent to make a very American sounding R&B/rap tune. It did very well to get to #30 with no promotion and that is how I discovered the song. I doubt Jeremih cares as it was massive in the US and has almost 80 million views.

When this was leaked onto the internet I fell in love with it - giving it 2 weeks at #1, but with no video and promotion at the time it was very front loaded and dropped down the chart fast. It's re-entered a few times thanks to the great video that it has - and hopefully it becomes massive in the UK, and I'm sure this will get massive on my chart again - going back to #1 is a possibility. Next is Emeli Sande's first solo chart hit and her biggest on my chart (Daddy was a massive flop for me). Now that she's won the Critics Choice Award for 2012 hopefully she can make more songs like this and get a better selling hit than the LTWYL rip-off "Read All About It". Katy Perry spent a long time in my chart and was lucky to go T10 with "E.T." - it's a good thing she did - I love the instrumental of it and Kanye's verses make it even better[/unpopularopinion] Inna scored her biggest hit to date with me this year at #52. "Sun Is Up" did so well due to the time it was released, it is perfect for summer - even if it sounds the same as all her other songs it does a better job than them. Missing out on a T50 placing is Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. I didn't know this song existed before MOS put it on one of their compilations (Bre actually discovered this before me) I love TEED's style of electronic music without trying to sound generic club - I can't name another act who makes songs like this so well done TEED (even if your name is a bit stupid)

Just as his latest era was flopping hard he released this, which tbh I wouldn't have loved as much as I did if another vocalist had been used. Yes, well done to Rihanna for having 6 of her 9 entries go in the top half of the chart. The video is well made too with all of the lights... At #49 is an instrumental from one of my favourite electro house producers Wolfgang Gartner. I love his style but clearly the general public don't, missing the T100 after being B-listed on R1 :( At #48 is Drake's first entry, his next one with Rihanna is much higher up. This song is uncommercial hip hop but I loved it after hearing it on R1. The lyrics are great, and the "they know..." hook is very catchy - but of course it wouldn't be as good if it weren't for that beat (0:00 onwards) Next is ADELE's first single from the massive selling "21". Spending a massive 31 weeks on the chart - easily the most for a non top 5 song is my favourite from the era. I love the fact that it has a beat, unlike SLY - and with massive airplay I got the song and the hype over her great voice. I don't know why SFTTR missed my top 20 - that is easily a good song too but it did spend 13 weeks on my chart. Rumor Has It has (rightfully) flopped as it's not that great. She really NEEDS to perform "Turning Tables" at the BRITS this year, I would love that to be another smash for her. And last is Rihanna (again) this time with "Only Girl" which was #17 in last years chart but I kept loving it into the new year.
