March 19, 201213 yr It's still lovely in English, and certainly not as jarring as some translations can be, but I was really hoping and expecting them to keep it in Icelandic - it adds far more to the mystery of the song. Agreed, it kind of kills the fantasy, Game Of Thronesish vibe I was getting off it :( Mostly on Gréta's part tbf
March 19, 201213 yr I prefer it in icelandic.....but I still love this version. I don't think it'll move much in my rankings.
March 19, 201213 yr This is excellent in English. I really like it in Icelandic, and I might prefer that from a musical point of view... but I can connect with it better in English. Should help it out quite nicely.
March 20, 201213 yr The song is still as amazing  They got a better chance with the English version :) but damn, I knew the Icelandic lyrics, now I have to learn to sing it in English
March 20, 201213 yr Author but damn, I knew the Icelandic lyrics, now I have to learn to sing it in English  Exactly  I hate when this happens each year :(
March 21, 201213 yr I only listened to the original a couple of times but I prefer the English version by far. I can really feel the power now, being able to understand everything. Could easily see it finishing top 10 now, if not higher.
April 8, 201213 yr Why have I not seen these videos of Silvia Night until now? They are LEGENDARY! NVdf7KrevF0 731lhHMSmjk
April 14, 201213 yr Author Hugarró came THIRD, which was expected. NÜ DANNY! Magni got 16643 votes, Gréta & Jónsi got 18649 votes and Blár Ópal received 19366 votes! However due to expert jury giving Mundu Eftir Mér a 12 and Stattu Upp - only an 8, the former won! WOO.
