I hope this does well, it is a grower but once it gets you very catchy.

It's very 'Miss Independent' by Ne-Yo, which is probably why I love it so much. But all my doubts about it not making top 10 are slowly going away now. It's getting a pretty good buzz now!

Yes, it sounds very much liked it's produced by Stargate (I wouldn't be surpirsed if it actually was, except I don't think Cover Drive are big enough names to work with them, but who knows?).

I heard it on Choice FM for the first time today (so not only Capital are playing it). I love it. I didn't really like Lick Ya Down, and it was out at the same time as Right There, but was just an inferior version of it, which was stupid.

I thought Cover Drive was a group though? That girl sings almost the entire song!

Also, it sounds a LOT like We Dance On by N-Dubz to me (except that it doesn't sample some ancient classical song ).

Looking very likely to be a shock number 1! :o Pleasing. I was thinking it'd be about #3/#4 at best so it's performing ridiculously better than my expectations. I'm glad though as it's definitely my favourite new release this week. I know it'll probably go on to be a "non #1" but in all honesty I don't particularly care :D We've had far worse "forgettable #1's in 2 years time".
This wouldn't be number 1 on iTunes because of Capital FM's shameless The Wanted style plugging to download it on the front page of their website by any chance? The backstage string pulling between the Global Radio Group (which owns Capital and Heart) and their label, Global Talent (Ashley Gabor, their label owner owns the label and radio group) is frustratingly bad practice. I'm surprised the OCC haven't pulled them up on this mild form of cheating to get #1 sales. It's a bit of an uninspiring song as well.

I'm very pleased this is doing so well, I've been having it on repeat for ages now, so to see it go #1 so quickly is brilliant.

I should work for Capital FM.

I've been loving this for a while too. It would be sublime if it was less auto-tuned, the auto-tune is a bit grating at times but otherwise it's extremely catchy and deserves to be #1. If their album is in the same vain as 'Twilight', I'd buy it.

I already have the album lined up as one to buy, sounds like its going to be amazing. Will sate my urban Rihanna/N'Dubz cravings at least, they could become a new favourite act if they stick around for a while.

How cynical! No one is being forced to buy it at the end of the day.

Exactly, the X Factor is in effect one long marketing campaign for the winner so should their winners single be disqualified from the chart as well?

They're doing some radio promo on Capital and KM FM today/tonight, not that it'll have much of an effect but at least they're the promoting type of artists! 'Lick Ya Down' has just re-clicked with me as a result of 'Twilight', quite a little gem as well! Both singles are quite on par with each other to be honest!

Their cover of 'Domino' is really worth listening to, they are so talented and Amanda's voice sounds so gorgeous without auto-tune!

how exactly is it 'cheating' for a radio to simply get behind a song

Exactly. It's not their fault at all Capital play it literally at least once an hour. I mean I very much doubt they've gone and slipped them money to rape Twilight, they probably just love it too much.
