I was watching Never Mind the Buzzcocks, hosted by Tinie feat. Example and Pixie (hilarious episode) and before they intro'd Tinie Tempah, they said he has sold 1.5m albums. It didn't seem right, was just wondering if it's accurate?

Probably means worldwide, although even then that seems a bit high - it's about 2 weeks away from passing 700k in the UK.
Yeah I was bloody shocked and sceptical at that. He won't have sold 800k in the U.S either. Wonder if he's popular in Europe or they're counting singles sales?

It would be way higher if they were counting singles sales, Pass Out alone is over 700k and that was hardly his only hit.

It's had some very limited worldwide success - #2 in Ireland, #21 in the USA, #24 in Canada, #31 in New Zealand, #73 in Switzerland and #96 in Australia - but no way does that make up 800k.

Maybe they're including the sales of the Chase & Status album. Or various artist comps :kink:
I hate when TV shows inflate figures to make their guests seem more impressive. X-Factor is the worst (The Wanted having three #1's, 4 million records sold, double platinum album etc).
