Very relevant Avis. Suggests they still have contact.

Reading on Devoted it seems Will was just there to see the film rather than promote himself.

Will Young: 'Pop Idol was cheesy, but X Factor is too self-aware'

Will Young has suggested that he finds The X Factor too self-aware.

The singer told Digital Spy that he "f**king loved" the innocence of early talent shows likePop Idol, which he won back in 2001, even if they were less slick than Simon Cowell's current singing

"Everything evolves. Pop Idol looks like Eurovision from the 1970s now, but I f**king loved it," he told us at the BNP Paribas Tennis Classic.

"People know the possibilities [now]. I didn't know the possibilities, so it genuinely was really exciting. It's always different when there's a knowingness to it. It is what it is."

Young, who is currently writing his sixth studio album and hopes to release it in 2015, added that he still has a passion for making music after 13 years in the business.

"I'm [making music] that is more exciting than ever," he said. "I think if I was just doing the same thing, I would be bored. It would feel like a long trudge if you were like, 'Oh God, here we go again', but it actually just gets better and better. It's flown by."

Can someone please bring over the gorgeous pic from this interview? :D

Sorry TT it won't let me post Carol's reversed pic but here's the DS one.
