December 5, 201113 yr Considering buying the clean version in a minute actually! Indeed, can't wait to hear Harlot's song  Likewise both Andreas', Timoteij, Loreen, Danny and Youngblood amongst others, wish I was going! Cool, I think I might get it tomorrow :) Me too, Carola who? :kink: Yeah, me too, once again I won't go to any Eurovision events next year, unless they have a national final/preview party here....
December 5, 201113 yr Ghosty, 1000 Ships would still have won without your 12 :D AND I COULD'VE FINISHED HIGHER THAN THE DAMNED 8TH PLACE *super angry face*
December 5, 201113 yr Author Cool, I think I might get it tomorrow :) Me too, Carola who? :kink: Yeah, me too, once again I won't go to any Eurovision events next year, unless they have a national final/preview party here.... I miss that lovin' is easier to listen to on my stereo in the house than the alternative lyric  Indeed! Me neither I don't expect - when will we win the damn contest again - then I would DEFINITELY go! I'm not going anywhere near Azerbaijan though... Ghosty, 1000 Ships would still have won without your 12 :D AND I COULD'VE FINISHED HIGHER THAN THE DAMNED 8TH PLACE *super angry face* 8th is your lucky number, and it was just like old times seeing Mdice finish in 7th place for the 95867th time, would have been wrong to deny them of their favourite finishing position (besides 1st of course!)
December 5, 201113 yr Hey Rich! :D 3. Rachel Platten - 1000 Ships (5) (CR-5-3) Falling more in love with this by the day, a sure entry for me next week and a very worthy winner! I hope my first entry is a worthy follow-up winner :kink: 10. Slow Moving Millie - Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want (14) (CR-32-14-10) This is, slowly (hehe), working its magic on me :o I'll be sobbing before the TV on Christmas day at this rate 14. Katie Cole - Long Road (19) (CR-19-14) I have downloaded the EP, but not listened yet... hoping for some nice tunes 16. The Saturdays - White Lies (18) (CR-18-16) This IS rather good actually  We both won tickets to see them on tour! High five! 19. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (27) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19) Yesssssssss climb! :D 21. JLS - Do You Feel What I Feel (NEW) (CR-21) I've not heard this all the way through but from adverts and so on I quite like the sound of it 22. Lady Gaga - Marry The Night (12) (CR-30-32-OUT-68-OUT-35-27-9-12-22) Oh that video :drama: Almost eight minutes of crap, I'm not stupid GaGa, you don't need to explain everything! 30. Youngblood - Blame It On You (NEW) (CR-30) Are these the new Melodifestivalen boyband? (I really need to start paying attention, but last year was my first so I don't know how early this stuff comes out!) A rather nice tune, actually, and as boybands these days go they're not bad looking! :o 33. Electric Giant Beatz feat Michelle Williams - On The Run (NEW) (CR-33) She's still trying out music then? I did actually like some of her last album, Hello Heartbreak was a tune and a half 39. Yasmin - Holding On (NEW) (CR-39) What happened to her rubbish last single? I thought it wasn't even due out until next year... This is enormously better, thank god! I wasn't very impressed with Eric Saade either, both of the 'volumes' are so generic :( I miss the days of Masquerade!

I wasn't very impressed with Eric Saade either, both of the 'volumes' are so generic :( I miss the days of Masquerade! Thanks David! 3. It hit me instantly, it's a brilliant song and I'm so pleased it won, I even prefer it to my own entry which is always quite a rare thing as I always get so into them! Looking forward to you finally joining the contest next time around :D 10. Same, should post another small climb in my next chart, I pre-ordered the album so it should be an interesting listen! Probably my last album purchase of the year too... 14. It's a good EP - don't be too hard on it, it's free! It has three great songs on it though as far as I'm concerned... 16. Ah, yes we did! Having a bit of a problem with mine as the Brighton concert is tomorrow and I think the PR for the gig wanted to try and post me tickets - bit late for that but hopefully there'll be a way around it - guess I'll find out tomorrow  Glad White Lies has clicked with you, I love it - can't believe it's not on the tour setlist :/ 19. Haha yes, it's getting there - will be #1 by February as you originally predicted I'm sure! 21. It's a really cheesy concept sampling a xmas song but it somehow works, shame the rest of the album is so poor (including the two preceding singles...) 22. It's just too much now. I'll watch it again - but I'll never start it before the 8 minute point... 30. Yep they are, and I'm really liking this actually so quite anticipating their MF entry already! 33. Yes she is  This is a competent enough dance tune, I like it more than Down For Whatever anyway :P 39. Hopefully it was canned, this is miles better but probably still not quite strong enough to be a single. Still definitely made enough of a mark on me to go top 40 though, it's very 90s but in a different way to On My Own and Finish Line. Glad it wasn't just me, I gave it another listen yesterday whilst having Johnkm and Scandipop's reviews both open to try to 'understand' the songs a bit more but it really is just samey generic blandness for the most part to these ears, I can't distinguish the tracks at all. Sad because Popular is one of my songs of the year and Hotter Than Fire showed a lot of promise for this volume.
December 6, 201113 yr 8th is your lucky number, and it was just like old times seeing Mdice finish in 7th place for the 95867th time, would have been wrong to deny them of their favourite finishing position (besides 1st of course!) Beware! One more 7th place and Benji will equal your record of most finishes in the same place! Time to dig out one more winning (mediocre) tune. It seems you don't win with good ones these days :D
December 6, 201113 yr Author Beware! One more 7th place and Benji will equal your record of most finishes in the same place! Time to dig out one more winning (mediocre) tune. It seems you don't win with good ones these days :D Or I could dig out something different and interesting again and finish 6th-18th :D Aside from a couple it seems that pretty much all BJSC winners these days are generic female (electro usually) pop
December 6, 201113 yr Thanks Ghosty :D 3. Glad you do, what a shame that you didn't give it 12 but I guess it's the risk of voting early. I voted early too but I had a very definitive top four which I knew wouldn't change! Oh well, thankfully it won anyway! 6. Yes, it didn't exactly light up the scoreboard did it, we both crashed and burned from the semis through to the final  I thought you were being a little over optimistic but I'd hoped for 8th-12th to be honest! 12. Yeah, it's really gorgeous, should become a top ten hit for her in my next chart, her first since 2008 :o 30. Oh dear, I actually really like it so am quite anticpating their MF entry! 34. I can't see me listening to the album but I do really like this, I can see the ABBA comparison definitely too! 37. I liked her previous MF entry too, it just rather paled next to the rest of the 2009 finalists I guess! Still better than Sofia and H.E.A.T. though! 38. Isn't it just, I'd have happily paid for it! Well, it's not bad but I can't remember much about it aside from Hotter Than Fire. It's somehow even more generic than Vol.1, it's like he's regurgitated a pack of Taio Cruz demos  I certainly shan't be buying it... 03 - Thankfully so! I always vote early through fear of forgetting altogether! Sometimes it means my votes are not reflective of my feelings by the time the deadline rolls round though! :( 06 - My downfall from SF to final is very disappointing, but if I'm completely honest, I was expecting to only be a borderline qualifier/bottom five in the final at best. 12 - I am surprised you weren't taken very much by Gonna Get Over You, such a fantastic pop tune! 34 - Fair enough, Storytime is the only song on the album I can see appealing to a wide spectrum of people. 37 - Poor Sofia, I do have a soft spot for Alla  . H.E.A.T. on the other hand :puke2: 38 - Same! Oh that is disappointing :( . If only he'd return to the sound of his first album! Ghosty, 1000 Ships would still have won without your 12 :D AND I COULD'VE FINISHED HIGHER THAN THE DAMNED 8TH PLACE *super angry face* I'm aware of that, but considering it's gone to #1 on my chart, it was quite a mistake giving it anything less than 12! I did my bit by giving Elizaveta 12 points in the semi -_- :kink:
December 6, 201113 yr I miss that lovin' is easier to listen to on my stereo in the house than the alternative lyric  Indeed! Me neither I don't expect - when will we win the damn contest again - then I would DEFINITELY go! I'm not going anywhere near Azerbaijan though... Understood  I usually listen to music on headphones, I just don't like thinking about that  :D Oh god, I really don't know, shame Blue's performance was so mediocre, if they had been less complacent we probably could have won (well, no, but we could have come top 3). Me too, it looks VILE. Though I read the other day that the video of Running Scared won best international video at some Latvian music awards

Yasmin - Holding On (NEW) (CR-39) WFL is becoming a big hit on your chart! Maybe rivaling that of WMN? Lovely to see STIUTK re-entering. I can see it being a moderate hit in the new year in the UK. Marry The Night has always been my favourite song from BTW. I think the video is also the best of this era. DTME should be a challenger for #1 this week in the UK. The is growing on me a lot, I may chart it eventually. I see Kelly Clarkson released her version of I'll Be Home For X-mas. A great vocal version! Great chart as always!

Well I liked it as an album track, I just always find them a bit hard to get back into as singles a year down the line, see Katy Perry's new single for example  34. Ah, probably won't bother with the album though... 37. She was so boring, and didn't deserve to be there (Amelia Lily alert!) :( and the H.E.A.T. song was not my cup of tea at all :( I agree, Masquerade was decent at least, these two have been so uneventful and generic. Hopefully so, STIUTK continues to forever grow on me  I really like Marry The Night but not as much as the other singles and I don't care for the first 8 minutes of the video - after that it's great! I really like DTME, especially since downloding the clean version!

I know right? And their human and LGBT rights record is appalling. By the way apropos of nothing, I LOVE how whenever I go your chart there's a Google ad for Ed Sheeran :heehee:
