For some reason, it's not clicking with me like I thought it would. In some ways, the 30 second tease was better than the actual song.

It sounds pretty good to me. :)

The formula is strictly being adhered to.

If you mean the one where she makes music people want to buy - well, that's hardly a crime...

Yep. That one. I wonder how long it will last.

I had great hopes for this - but it goes everywhere you expect it to go. And the lyrics in the chorus are almost a parody of her - "will you still love me?" - is that line in every song of hers?

It looks like Young & Beautiful will make its T40 debut this Sunday.

I've finally got into Paradise this week. I had just listened to her too much I had to leave it for a while!

But at the moment it's all about Bel Air. Gorgeous.

AS for the nature of the lyrics, she is definitely from the Marc Bolan school of lyric writing in that she does recycle a lot of ideas and uses a limited lexicon. Everything about her lyrically was encapsulated in Blue Jeans.

Ultimately though, I couldn't care a less because I find the music so wonderful.

And it did, at #23. :) :cheer:

Got back from her gig in Dublin about an hour ago. She was unreal. <3 I was so surprised considering some of the videos of her singing live were kinda shit. She played for about an hour but it was the perfect length. 'Carmen' and 'National Anthem' were the biggest hits with the crowd. 'Young and Beautiful' was amazing live, too. The powerlesbians and supergays were BEYOND irritating* but I quickly forgot about them when Lana walked on stage. Babe.

* I mean, who the f*** GRINDS their boyfriend/girlfriend while singing along to Blue Jeans?!

I might - but I'm not gay, so maybe that doesn't count? :P

Well my legs have died but it was worth it!

Waiting outside in the PISS POURING rain for 1.5 hour was (probably) also worth it.

She was 300% better than I thought she would be. Me & a friend made jokes that she would try to avoid the high note in 'Cola' but she did it and aced it. She aced all the high notes.

She was so sweet too. She gave alot of people on the front row an autograph and went on pictures with them. JEALOUS!

She also came outside the building after it had ended to say hi.

But I never met such a crazy, pushy and obnoxious crowd though. Two of my friends went to Lady Gaga twice or three times and they told me LG wasn't half as bad as this.

By the way, I totally forgot to say. I don't know if this is old news but she mentioned during the concert that she's about to shoot videos for 'Gods and Monsters', 'Body Electric' AND 'Bel Air'!!!

Yayo is so far from being her best song it's untrue.

Yes for a video for Bel Air!
