Ukraine seem to have made an impression on me 2 excellent goals, Sweden were a bit asleep at times, I think England can beat Sweden on Friday quite easily, Ukraine can be the dark house of this group, will they beat the French on Friday, based on todays Ukraine's performance.

Ukraine have some really good players, their two wingers are fantastic, and they have another one whose name escapes me too. Problem is they have Voronin up front, whose well... terrible.

 

Both Sweden and Ukraine are good. We'll be expected to beat them both easily now, but don't think that will be the case. Both games are definitely winnable, but put playing against the host nation is never easy, no matter how "poor" they may seem on paper.

I must've missed something because I watched the first half of Sweden v Ukraine and thought they were both sloppy. Especially the Ukraine 'keeper. Did some major shift happen at half time?

 

 

Incidentally how would they decide who went through if all games in a group were drawn 1-1?

Sweden will need a result on Friday and so won't be sitting back, which should suit England

I'm not entirely sure who's worse out of Greece and the Czechs, they're both bloody awful really. I still think Czech Republic though, Greece can be excused by having their second choice keeper and centre half pairing. I really hope Poland go through from that group.

Bit of a blooper for Cech for the Greece goal wasn't it.

 

I think it will be a 3-0 win to Russia. In the Russia v Poland match. Sadly there have been clashes between the Russian and Polish fans in Warsaw

Any of the 4 teams can still go through, I think Poland have done well to draw against Russia, it was quite an entertaining match to watch. I suspect Russia and Poland to qualify from this group, Greece were really terrible

Poland need to win their last game then, can't help thinking they'll probably do it. The gulf in class in Group A was so apparent today.

Really looking forward to today's games. Revision is on hold tonight..

 

Hoping for a Denmark win

Portugal already winning 2-0. Can't see Denmark coming back from that, so it'd be interesting if Holland can win today as they'd all be in with a chance of qualifying in their final group games

Russia have been given a suspended six-point deduction by Uefa because of the behaviour of their fans during their 4-1 win against Czech Republic.

That first half of Netherlands vs. Germany was just amazing! So so pleasing to see Germany score more than once, too! Holland actually played quite well though I thought, especially the opening few minutes - it's just a shame (for them) that they've failed to score thus far.

Looks like Germany could win the group, the dutch played awfully, Portugal will beat them in their final match, and Germany playing Denmark in the final game could be another win for Germany, Portugal are going to be the runners up of the group by the looks of things. Unless the Dutch find their way in the second half, can't see it happening, they had chances in the first half, but they had no support from their own team players.

Russian football 'fans' (most of them are basically racists/violence-driven maniacs who hide behind football as an excuse to h8) are known for this kind of pathetic disgusting behaviour. Is it too late to overturn the decision about Russia hosting the 2018 World Cup? :(

Netherlands playing ok, Van Persie having a stinker though. They looked completely deflated after the 2nd goal, absolutely shell-shocked. The Germans didn't even get going for 20 minutes. Germany will still win I think as the Dutch need to go for it, but they'll bring on Hunterlaar and Van der Vaart.
