I don't have the words to describe how incredible that episode was and how much I love this show. Carrie's inability to communicate was brilliant. If Estes had any inclination at all to listen to her it disappeared when she started acting hysterical. Her desperation and frustration was so painful to watch (I did love her description of her manic music episode at college though). Did you notice how Saul was practically silent for the first ten minutes of the episode? Yet completely knocked it out of the park? I wouldn't be surprised if Mandy Patinkin wins a supporting Emmy next year too. He deserves it. I definitely feel like something is going to happen with Dana next week. I'm glad she isn't oblivious to Brody acting strange like the rest of the family.

I just wish I knew people who watched this so I could throw f-bombs at them and make silly predictions about next week.

"Showtime's rookie terrorism drama Homeland, a critical favorite popping up on several of the best of 2011 lists, was completely shut out, as was NBC's acclaimed Emmy-nominated comedy Parks and Recreation." Shocking lack of SAG award nominations! The three leads should have all been nominated.

The nominations are especially odd this year. Glee (dwindling in both quality and popularity) and 30 Rock (bad season which hasn't actually been on air in months) over Parks and Recreation? Still? 2011? No Michael Fassbender? WUT.

It's nice to read virtually every article complaining about the lack of both shows though.

"It's even tougher to believe neither ensemble got a nod, considering that "Parks and Rec" was arguably the most consistently funny comedy on television for all of 2011 and "Homeland" is pretty much universally acclaimed as the best new series of the fall."

"Showtime’s psychological thriller Homeland is universally considered one of, if not the, best new series of the season. Claire Danes has earned universal praise and seemed like a big contender for the win here, and Damian Lewis has also been very impressive. Yet the show got no nominations. Huh? We're at a loss to explain it. Parks and Recreation, as well as its numerous hilarious stars, was completely snubbed. Yes, comedy is a competitive category, but Parks and Rec was the most consistently funny show on TV last season, and the cast knocked it out of the park week after week. The Office and 30 Rock are award show staples, but if the SAG is actually trying to acknowledge the strongest shows of the past year, there's no question that Parks and Rec deserves to be on the list."

"A few deserving dramas were overlooked, including Justified and Sons of Anarchy, but no slight irks us more than Homeland's. The twisty, taut and consuming psychological drama — our show of the year — was inexplicably snubbed across the board and we're still at a loss to try to explain it. But that's good news for the drama actress contenders because Claire Danes, so complicated and layered as Carrie Mathison, would've been a lock for the win. Still, tsk, tsk, SAGs. Easily the funniest show on TV this year, Parks and Rec came up empty for Amy Poehler and its ensemble that has been firing on all cylinders more so than, say, The Office. While the show is doing fine without Steve Carell, we all know it has seen better days."

"This might be the most bewildering omission of all. Danes is giving one of the best performances in recent years on "Homeland." Her character, Carrie Matheson, is a live wire with a formidable intellect and serious mental problems, and Danes synthesizes the many sides of this charismatic, complex woman flawlessly. Danes doesn't shy away from Carrie's less likable qualities, but somehow, the actress makes your heart break for the tortured CIA analyst. For shame, SAG. You should know better. The cast of "Parks and Recreation" is hands down one of the best ensemble casts on TV right now. From Nick Offerman's hilariously stoic Ron Swanson to Retta's sassy Donna Meagle, this cast is not only full of talent, but their chemistry is unparalleled."

ETC.

All caught up. Episodes 10+11 OMG. So glad I stuck with it now.

BEST ACTRESS IN A TV COMEDY

HOLY CRAP THAT ENDING :( So powerful.. Claire Danes really is incredible.

& so much frustration at Saul & Jessica!

Homeland surely will get at least one award for the best actress? Danes is incredible.

No nomination for Parks and Rec in a Best TV series: Comedy or Musical though  Enlightened is nominated though <3

OH

MY

GOD

@ the finale.

It was just so gripping and didn't feel at all like 90 minutes. The bit where Tom

started firing and shot Elizabeth everything fell into place and it was a total OMFG moment

. Saul ALMOST getting there too was a shout at the TV screen moment. I can't fault it at all, I love how it essentially means we can move into S2 and there doesn't need to be much building of tension because there's already so much. I literally cannot praise it highly enough. Claire SHUT IT DOWN though, if she doesn't win every award she's up for something is not right with the world.

I thought this show had gave the game away a bit to early but it's not a one trick ponty like I initially thought. Very good indeed. Dunno how Clare Danes is gonna affect things from way out on the sidelines next season though, that should be interesting.

The ending was so frustrating but so brilliant. I feel like I've been on an emotional rollercoaster.

Probably in a similar way that George Smiley affected things when he was ousted from British Intelligence at the start of "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy"... ;)

I just watched the second episode of 'Homeland' and wow! Easily the best new show of the season. I can see Claire Danes beating Julianna Margulies next year.

I'd have been happy with either winning, both really deserved it but J Marg already had one so YAY CLAIRE.

Right does Homeland get really good?

At the moment it's very good, but quite slow in some places. I'm only 5 episodes through, but I'm expecting (and hoping) a game-changing moment soon!

Not surprised this did so well at the Globes. Excellent TV show, with two brilliant leads. Clarie Danes really is fantastic.

I thought the ending was a bit of a cop-out personally, but can see why as it's obvious the producers wanted Season 2. "Why kill a man when you can kill an idea" - for a terrorist mastermind, I thought he might have thought of that before! I'm glad the mole storyline was pushed back. It would have distracted too much from the main plot, but it's an interesting idea. Although with the lack of suspects it can only really be three people at the moment, if it is assummed Brody did give his captor the blade to kill himself. Great ending aswell. I watched the series over two weeks and did not pick up on what Brody said in his sleep. What an absolute kick in the teeth.
