November 24, 201212 yr Is there actually even a mole? May just have not been properly paying attention but it hasn't been brought up since they find out about Brody has it? Yeah there definitely is one. It's only been mentioned indirectly this season though I think. I read an interview not too long ago where they said the reveal of the mole wasn't important at this time, and they chose not to disclose it in Season One because they didn't want the attention to shift from Brody. I thought the scene where the asset killed herself was a throw back to Season One where the torturer also met the same fate..
December 3, 201212 yr !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even begin to process HALF of what just went down in that episode. (oh and THE LIP had me in hysterics everytime it popped up)
December 3, 201212 yr I think this week's episode + next week's trailer made it quite obvious who the mole is...
December 4, 201212 yr I think this week's episode + next week's trailer made it quite obvious who the mole is... Really? I'm still none the wiser. Only one thing bugged me about the episode Carrie knew Abu Nazir was going to kill the VP yet she did not even mention it. Fantastic episode though.
December 4, 201212 yr Really? I'm still none the wiser. Well, I reckon it's Galvez, he just turns up when there's another chance to tip Nazir off...
December 4, 201212 yr That thought did cross my mind, but logistically I'm not sure how it would work.
December 4, 201212 yr Well, I reckon it's Galvez, he just turns up when there's another chance to tip Nazir off... Well they're the most obvious. I guess it kind of makes sense seeing rhw writers could have easily killed them off a long time ago if they didn't serve a purpose.
December 8, 201212 yr Old thread I know but with the benfit of hindsight, probably the best thing on TV in the last 15 years or so. We want more!
December 8, 201212 yr Old thread I know but with the benfit of hindsight, probably the best thing on TV in the last 15 years or so. We want more! True, I cant remember a show i was more addicted to, Homeland is just simply brilliant.
December 17, 201212 yr No mole? Were we all misled? LOL. Nothing happened for the first 40 minutes of the finale but the last 20 were brilliant TV. I wish it were more action packed though.
December 17, 201212 yr I still think there's a mole... maybe that's something that will be developed in season 3. I thought this was a great finale. It wrapped the events of the season up nicely while putting in place the pieces for season 3.
December 18, 201212 yr There's definitely a mole, although right now there is literally only two people it could be. Every one else is dead. I prefer it when it is a little more fast paced. The Carrie/Brody scenes are not my cup of tea, and there were a lot of them in this episode. Does anybody think Brody actually did it?
December 18, 201212 yr Everything in the episode led me to believe Saul did it and actually expected a shocking revelation at the end.
December 18, 201212 yr Author Hated the first thirty minutes. It just plodded along. Loved the final thirty minutes. Season three should be a completely different beast! Looking forward to it.
December 18, 201212 yr Everything in the episode led me to believe did it and actually expected a shocking revelation at the end. Maybe. I'd be extremely disappointed if that were the case. I guess it could just be as simple as it was part of Abu Nazir's greater plan and he had other people move Brody's car.
December 18, 201212 yr I thought it was a brilliant finale, from start to finish. I loved the Carrie/Brody scenes, it all felt like it was going to work out (whilst obviously I knew it wasn't) and then BAM it all went to shit, as per, in the most brilliant way possible. I loved the way they did it intersected with the burial at sea.
December 18, 201212 yr My interest in this had been waning but after seeing the last half of the finale I want season 3 right now. I can't really comment on Mad Men or Breaking Bad but surely nothing else comes close to this in terms of twists? Episode 10 was my highlight of the season though.

The Carrie/Brody scenes are not my cup of tea, and there were a lot of them in this episode. Does anybody think Brody actually did it? I think Homeland is at its best when there is a seed of doubt about Brody and I think by using his car that element of doubt has returned. Unlike some, I actually liked the slower paced first half. I really liked the scene when Jessica started taking Brody's things out of the drawer... for some reason I found it quite moving. The only thing I don't really like is how the Brody/Carrie love story is becoming the main driving force of the plot. In season 1, their relationship seemed more like a component of the is he/isn't he a terrorist plot, whereas now the overarching storyline seems to be about them two getting together.
