December 6, 201113 yr Lightsound, Gunesh, Alena and the other Koldun seem to be the best for me. Nina Bogdanova's song is ruined by the vocals. Drozdy, WTF? According to esctoday, the definite list will be announced today. Edited December 6, 201113 yr by N-S

December 22, 201113 yr Author the finalists are Lightsound WssF4Ebwb6c Gunesh suw-jgohiEU Alena Lanskaya zkLtDQfyH2I Uzari -sS8DHyKKM0 Victoria Aleshko ciUKfkIPNSc I have to say I'm very impressed with entries. I prefer some over other but will be ok with any of them representing my home country at Euro 2012 Job well done Mr. Tikhanovich and Ko!
February 14, 201213 yr Starts in 30 minutes. I might even tune in (to make sure that Russian NF is going to be even worse).
February 14, 201213 yr Holy shit. Just tuned in. This looks good. All those guests (Rybak, Lys Allia, Šerifović, Ell/Nikki)!!! :o
February 14, 201213 yr Author so it's Alena but since Kirkorov was there and was implying that he will bring victory, he will change the song, just wait and see.
February 14, 201213 yr What an awful song. Not heard the rest though. Hopefully Kirkorov will indeed bring the victory to Belarus and change the song, because so far this is a definite DNQ for them.
February 14, 201213 yr Not terrible (still better than Albania & Switzerland) but it has nothing on 'I Love Belarus'.
February 14, 201213 yr Hmmm... She was pretty great performing the song at the end of Eurofest. I'm seeing it as a grower now. This reminds me of Lithuania 2011 a lot. AMAZING voice, incredibly dated song (this even sounds more dated than 'C'est ma vie'), almost identical titles ( :D ). 19th place in the Final is the best. Although I still predict a DNQ. Unless they pull off a trick like Evelina did with the sign language.
February 14, 201213 yr Author pros: she is pretty she can sing she is pretty faceless and moldable, can take on any image: romantic girl, bitchy diva, whatever new song will require cons: song is rather boring (fixable) her english is rather awful (what else is new! MIGHT be fixable) dance skills unknown all in all Belarus entry CAN be saved... will it be? time will tell.
February 14, 201213 yr Awful english pronunciation isn't the problem of only Belarus. Almost every country in the East, North-East and Central Europe is guilty of that
February 14, 201213 yr Author Awful english pronunciation isn't the problem of only Belarus. Almost every country in the East, North-East and Central Europe is guilty of that   true lol but they try to take pride in it haha i remember my teachers: "mind your pronunciation!" it was like a mantra before exams haha although i doubt that now after spending over a decade in US i'd pass that "pronunciation" test. we had to speak with "royal british" accent... heavily seasoned with thick russian  it baffles me though. with skype nd stuff it's so easy now to find yourself friends from every corner of the world. practice your english all you want! [/rant]
February 14, 201213 yr I know right. Only we here, in Russia, were taught American pronunciation. I really cringe everytime someone makes a common mistake 10 times in a row. I don't know how teachers take it  Edited February 14, 201213 yr by Ljósið
February 14, 201213 yr Author Belarus isn't Belarus without that odd English pronounciation. paRt off ze chaRm?
February 24, 201213 yr Alena is no longer representing Belarus, Litesound will be instead with their song 'We Are The Heroes'. Confirmed on ESC Today!
February 24, 201213 yr Here's the studio version of the new Belarusian entry Litesound. I think it's a lot better than Alena even though I quite liked All My Life. Belarus has moved up from 'good' to 'great' in my rankings :D _gXZnaiUhtA
February 24, 201213 yr Author studio sounds ok... butt heir live sound and harmonies leave A LOT to be desired pEgcqJD75ZY and i still can't understand half of what they are singing... although half is improvement over most... my fav still was Juzari... sigh. screw you flu season!
February 24, 201213 yr Better...but it's very 'Nickelback if they were from Belarus' vocal wise :/ It's really melodic and catchy and would be great in the hands of a tolerable singer. As it is, it's just 'good', not sure how often I'm going to want to listen to that voice...
