Oh AS IF. Nothing Amelia has done comes CLOSE to the glory of Don't Let Go or even ET.

Amelia's ET was far better than Little Mix's, Amelia is a far better vocalist than all four of Little Mix put together and has more personality.

Amelia has a personality? And there was me thinking she was some monotone Geordie with a speaking voice that could put you to sleep...

I listened to the original of Don't Let Go, in anticipation after the perf, and thought it was weak compared to Little Mix's version (due to not knowing it before). Quite honestly. They were really powerful on the harmonies, only them and Amelia have really provided moments in the latter half of the series, and Amelia's been more inconsistent.

Don't Let Go was a moment, but one that lead me back to the original version and realising how much better it was.

Oh come ON, Don't Let Go is one of THE classics of the 90s - surely you can see that it's too big an ask to expect any cover version, no matter how good, to top the original?

Probably because Amelia wasn't there in the first half of the live finals. :P

I disagree that 'Don't By Go' by Little Mix was better than En Vogue but then again, I rememeber the song from first time round. En Vogue have these gorgeous silky smooth harmonies that no UK X Factor group has ever, or will ever achieve. Tell a lie, G4 were vocally excellent - I just didn't like what Louis did to them. -_-

That said, Little Mix gave their best performance with 'Don't Let Go' and they'll have to pull out of the bag something incredible to better that.

I was doing that to exclude perfs like 'Jar Of Hearts', so I could make a sweeping statement. ^_^

Amelia has only really 'The Show Must Go On', 'China In My Hand' and 'I'm With You' as her good perfomances, and I wouldn't mind her coming 2nd, whereas I've liked all of Little Mix's perfs aside from Superbass and Tik Tok, and both of those were in the earlier part of the series.

Little Mix made 'Don't Let Go' a little bit more exciting and upbeat, for me. It was a stunning perf.

Indeed, she only ever seems to speak in clichés!

To me, whenever Amelia is doing a VT, it's like someone has a gun to her head and is forcing her to read off the Autocue of Cliche with a fake happy attitude
ET was rubbish.

Now that's blasphemy of the worst sort.

Amelia is REPULSIVE and post X Factor I only see her having a short AND FLUSHED career. She is essentially the X Factor's very own PIXIE LOTT.

She's not a fucking Geordie -_-

Yes I know that's a random thing to put up on but it does kind of point out how ill-informed your opinion is.

Hey Ya! is a perfect choice for Marcus. Quite looking forward to that.

Misha had that problem too. Sophie was known as the 'one without personality' and yet she had way more of a character offstage than Misha, Amelia and Janet rolled into one.

It's all part of the SAME HELLISH CORNER OF ENGLAND!

Fake 'rock' sensibility, shouty 'powerful' vocals, so thankful for the opportunity, blah blah... nothing to see here. Like Jake said, Pixie Lott mk II.

Just read the songs they're singing with the judges...jesus...tonight is going to be such a bore fest.

I predict the worst x factor final ever with the word Wembley said over 10000x, lots of screaming from brain dead audience members and some mind numbing home-coming videos.

Please just announce Little Mix as winners so we can all be done with this.

I agree, Little Mix did a brilliant job of it, and they did it almost as well as the Sugababes for me, I think they could be the best UK vocal band since the Sugababes were good:

I'm not saying it's great, but having been in exile in Middleboro (American pronunciation) for five years, I do feel some affinity for it. Certainly Teesside will be out in force voting for her, I would be shocked if she doesn't make it through till tomorrow.

As for your second point,

That for me, is HANDS DOWN the one of the best performances the Babes have ever done and I was front row. Absolutely LOVE their version and well. It kinda shows Little Mix have a long way to go still given that Don't Let Go was a one off for them and the babes did this night in, night out on their biggest tour to date.

THIS. Little Mix have the potential to be very good, but we are basing it on a limited knowledge of occasional performances. Amelia and Marcus have both been very consistent (though Ain't No Mountain High Enough and Can You Feel It were kind of blips last week).

I'm not sure the 'to date' in that sentence is especially necessary Phil :D
