I love your optimism Neil and I would love you to be right. It deserves to make the top 10 but the radio stations will really need to get behind the single for it to happen.

Would really like it to go top 20 and hang around in the charts for a long time, boosting those all important album sales.

Lets all be positive people as you say radio stations really have to play it by the bucket load but im quietly confident of a top 10 but the most important thing is for Losing Myself is to help sell more of the MAGNIFICENT Echoes :D
I'm not convinced it'll do much or any better than 'Come On'. Like the last single, it's just simply the wrong choice when they have 'Runaway'! The album's doing fine though fortunately for them...

Do you think Runaway would get better commercial radio support? Without it, nothing released from Echoes will chart well in the singles chart.

Not now I imagine, that's why it should've followed-up 'Jealousy'. Missed opportunity. :(

Maybe, but it seems to be that Will only gets good radio support for his first single with every album, while others are supported no matter what they release.

:D

With every track we fall in love with future husband that little bit more @will_young31 check out his new single http://www.snapcacklepop.net/2012/02/new-v...g.html?spref=tw

After melting our hearts once again on The Graham Norton Show singing Silent Valentine our British husband Will Young has premiered the video for Losing Myself. The Pascal Gabriel co-written track is the third single from his brilliant Richard X produced fifth studio Echoes, which was nominated for a SnapCacklePop Music Award for POP Album Of The Year.

The very stylish video features our husband, sorry Will Young, starting a standard working day, however is accompanied by his many alter egos, with a few slick synchronized dance moves thrown into the disco-sprinkled track. Bravo hubby.

Love it :) thanks Bev.

Can you imagine the airplay LM would get if all these fantastic reviews for single and video were reflected in plays?

Will Young - Losing Myself (Single Review)

http://www.stereoboard.com/images/stories/new/will_young_js_040711.jpg

Is there anything Will Young can’t do? Since winning the original series of Pop Idol back in 2002, Will Young has released six albums, tried his hand at various music genres and succeeded in all and, as if that wasn’t enough, he proved his worth as an actor when he turned up in the hit TV series, Skins.

His latest release, ‘Losing Myself’, proves just how far he’s come as a singer/songwriter since his first release ‘Evergreen/Anything Is Possible’. The majority of Will Young’s success has come from his exceptional voice being paired with slow-paced, love songs – something that he’s keen to break away from, if this single is anything to go by.

Taken from “Echoes”, his fifth studio album, ‘Losing Myself’ is far more uplifting than many of Young’s previous releases. In fact, it’s almost fair to refer to it as a dance track; though if parts of the video are to go by, he should probably steer clear from dancing or anything remotely choreographed. Maybe he’s not so perfect after all. Anyway, back to the single...

The synths help to make it far more modern and upbeat than what we’re used to from Will Young and, at the same time, they make it much more suitable for today’s chart. Let us not forget they also accentuate his seemingly flawless voice. It would seem that Will Young is a good example of an artist who accepts that they have to adapt their style in order to remain current. However, unlike many other artists it appears Will Young is able to pull it off, as proven when his first release off the album, ‘Jealousy’ reached number 5 in the charts.

The single itself is about losing yourself and trying to find the ‘real’ you, whilst not being the same as everybody else – something that many people will be able to relate to easily. This is portrayed perfectly in the music video, as Will Young is joined by various copycats. There’s one powerful scene where he has a short stand-off with each of his copycats, only for them to act like shadows.

One thing that has always remained consistent throughout his career is Will Young’s ability to pour emotion into any song he sings and this is no exception. His voice works brilliantly with the synths and helps to add emotion that can sometimes be taken away in dance tracks.

Not seemingly it is flawless.

No singing by numbers or unnecessary warbling. You believe every word Will sings.

Thanks Bev. I'll add this to the single reviews. :D

Why is it so quiet on here tonight? is everyone struck dumb cause he said he wants some?

Another good'un here..

Will Young - Losing Myself

Will Young is a British pop singer who won the British music contest Pop Idol back in 2002. He just released the third single “Losing Myself” from his latest album Echoes and as far as I’m concerned he’s got another hit on his hands. I really liked his two previous singles and I like the new one just as much as the others. It has an 80’s sound to it, which is really cool, and Will has just the right vocals to glide perfectly over the track. The chorus is catchy and will have you humming/singing along by the end of the song, even if you don’t know the words. And I think Will, along with the others involved with the song, did a good job of writing a great song and creating the perfect beat to accompany it. This is a perfect example of the type of pop music I like… And I think the video for the song is pretty creative as well.
