Here we go!! Amazing year for music! Let's start with the first five.

50 / Florence + The Machine = Shake It Out

The comeback we all waited for, a bit disappointing at first. A grower though and still a good song. Nothing on 'Dog Days' of course.

49 / Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger

HE LOOKS AMAZING. However the song stupidly including a cameo from that 'Dirrty' one hit wonder :). Song was catchy and massive all over the world.

48 / Labrinth - Earthquake

Brilliant single from an underrated artist. I know nothing of him other than this and 'Let The Sun Shine' this is obviously better. Tinie adds nothing to it though obviously.

47 / Beyonce - 1+1

Second? single from her floppy album '4' which was a really cute love song with warbling vocals over the top. I LOVE IT. This is the Beyonce I like!

46 / Nicola Roberts - Lucky Day

OMG I love this bitch, so quirky but in an actual cool way. Song was brilliant and catchy can't fault it or her really. MY-Y-Y-Y-Y LUCKY DAY-Y-Y-Y-YY

Well what does he ADD 'Verity'? :)

NEXT FIVE:

45 / James Blake - Limit To Your Love

Cracking vocals, creepy music and very atmospheric. Perfect bath music? haha.

44 / Florrie - Experimenting With Rugs

Despite the ridiculous title (unless I'm missing something?) this song is a top electro-pop number from a very promising Popstar. I know nothing of her or any of her other work really, but this is sublime!

43 / Wynter Gordon - Back To You

BALLADWYNTER is soooo good! I love the slight synthy bits in the background, and she vocally sounds her best for me here. Beautiful song!

42 / Rihanna - You Da One

Not AS GOOD as it could have been, but she set the bar very high with 'We Found Love', still good SUMMER song (NOT WINTER RIHANNA), and I imagine it'll be overshadowed completely by its early release so will be forgotten. Bring on single #3!

41 / Swedish House Mafia - Save The World

I've always found SHM totally overrated (One = EW) but this is AMAZING, euphoric and everyone knows the chorus without ever hearing it. Hear it in a club and YOU WILL KNOW THE MEANING OF LIFE!

COMMENTTTT

you have a shit taste in music.

Not entirely to my tases as of yet, but Earthquake is GOOD and Tinie brings alot to the table there... I think it'd be repetitive city without him tbf.

Save the World is awful! Sounds like a single from the Wanted...and a bad one at that (ie not Glad You Came).

Apart from that, not baaad. Good to see Blakey and Nicola make an appearance.

44 / Florrie - Experimenting With Rugs

I think it refers to lesbianism :kink: Not the song, just the title. It is very odd.

Lovely to see her on someone else's chart though, you must track down her other material, a whole lot of it is available for free from her website! http://florrie.com/free-music-downloads 'Summer Nights' and 'I Took A Little Something' are particularly fantastic.

Solid chart so far, a few that will be near the top of my chart!

Thanks for the comments :)

Next five :)

40 / Azealia Banks - 212

Just recently got into this, love the attitude and the lyrics are brilliant and witty. She's definitely on my ones-to-watch list.

39 / Gavin Degraw - Radiation

Not much to say but this is a brilliant and catchy record from a very underrated artist!

38 / Jamie Woon - Lady Luck

Love this guys vocal, the album is in my top 20 of the year easily. He's incredibly talented and underrated.

37 / Best Coast - Crazy For You

This was a Shazaam in the middle of Top Man hahaha, I love how upbeat and happy it is! Too short though :(

36 / Two Door Cinema Club - Something Good Can Work

TOTALLY not my thing but this band are great! They do the pop-rock thing SO well and manage to stay current at the same time. LOVELY.

I love '212' it won't be in my year end chart this year but hopefully it can become a small hit in the UK then it might appear in my year end chart of 2012

JAMIE! Yeah, I am into this chart. Azealia and TDCC are top picks too.

Here we go:

35 / Birdy - People Help The People

Technically bad, but really cute and she does have a lovely voice! Can't wait for her original material which I'm sure will be amazing.

34 / Avicii & Leona Lewis - Collide

I don't care what anybody says, this IS a good dance song. Perfect vocals for a chorus and a great instrumental. LOVELY :)

33 / David Guetta - Where Them Girls At

Lead single from a piss poor album. This was amazing though thanks to Nicki obvs.

32 / Emeli Sandé - Heaven

Now this took a while to grow on me, but boy once it did it was INFECTIOUS. Nothing else I've heard from her is any good though so I'm calling one hit wonder!

31 / Lady GaGa - Heavy Metal Lover

No secret GaGa let me down this year, the album was CRAP for the most part and the singles have been well below parr. But this little JAM is actually GOOD. Very understated, not a hit though obv.

34 / Avicii & Leona Lewis - Collide

I don't care what anybody says, this IS a good dance song. Perfect vocals for a chorus and a great instrumental. LOVELY :)

The only thing I like about this song is the instrumental, which is why I much prefer "Fade Into Darkness" :D

Nice chart so far, good to see Emeli Sande and Lady Gaga

Some excellent songs in here, particularly appreciating Best Coast, love them and Crazy For You is so good

Agree re: Earthquake too, I feel that Tinie ruins it. I quite like him but that song would be fantastic without him.

Thanks for the comments so far.

I'll do 6 as I've been away.

30 / Wynter Gordon - Don't Stop Me

Album track from one of my favourite albums of the year. It's just really breezy and easy to listen to! I'm a complete sucker for her voice too

29 / Katy B - Perfect Stranger

Biggest shock to me this year was her tremendous album, this was by far the highlight for me and is something the Sugababes should be releasing. AMAZING.

28 / The Wanted - Glad You Came

Not my thing AT ALL but really infectious and catchy. Out of all the shitty boybands I find The Wanted the least offensive so that's why I even gave this a chance haha.

27 / Yasmin - Finish Line (Freemason's Remix)

This should have been HUGE but alas it peaked quite low, a complete pleasure to listen to and the original is just as good but its hard to listen to after this version as it seems too slow lol.

26 / Gavin Degraw - Not Over You

vDWhfsQHq1o

Again underrated, never really liked him before this but once I heard this I gave his other stuff a listen, brilliant breezy track!

25 / Will Young - Jealousy

AGAIN this artist is one I'd never listen to, but this was so sublime and beautiful. His best by far for me! LOVE IT.

24 / Coldplay - Princess of China

AMAZING. Coldplay are back better than ever for me with this and 'Paradise', this is my favourite on the album (Rihanna... :P).

The next bunch!

23 / Florence + The Machine - Only If For A Night

I LOVE THIS! The only song on the album (bar the singles) that gets repeated plays. I love how atmospheric her vocals are on the chorus. AMAZING, haunting!

22 / Clinton Sparks - Sucks To Be You

LOL, this is such a guilty pleasure. IT'S CATCHY OK. I love JoJo's bit in it as well! Great track, hit potential.

21 / Lana Del Rey - Video Games

She scares the shit outta me, but the song is undeniably beautiful and touching. Her vocal delivery is so intense it gives me CHILLS. Beautiful!

20 / Beyonce - End Of Time

Fast becoming my favourite Beyonce song, its just really different and danceable. She usually goes a bit tuneless on uptempo's but this one is brilliant!

19 / Bon Iver - Towers

STUN-THE-f***-ING. I love Bon Iver and this album is one of my highlights.

18 / Foster The People - Warrant

Brilliant album track, this should be a single at some point. Definitely my favourite band of the year, effortless.
