01 - Well, I was sorting out my EOY album chart and gave this one another listen, and it really cemented my love for this track! The second verse in particular is stunning!

10 - I wasn't so fussed on the original, but I do really like this version!

32 - Indeed, the recaps really highlighted a number of tracks I originally overlooked! Some of these tracks scored 0 from me, but if I was voting now, they'd be in with a shot of getting some really high marks!

51 - I was shocked that this failed too. I was even more surprised that it was the jury that saved it from a DNQ! This year's contest was just bizarre! Hopefully 2012 will be a lot better, but I have my doubts sadly :(

55 - It could and should grow on me. With the sea of BJSC entries entering it does make the positions of the usual weekly releases seem a lot worse than they are. If TBO wasn't occurring, Speak Out Now would be at least top 40 I should think!

1. Wow, as much as I love the album, I guess my main love affair for them was in 2009 and hence the album's tumbled down my chart rather hastily :drama:

32. It's strange how things grow and sometimes end up becoming better than the more instant songs. IIRC, none of the destined for my end of year top five debuted in my personal chart top ten!

51. Indeed, I'm hoping that 2012 will be FAR better because 2009 was perfect results wise and 2010 had a perfect winner for me and some other decent results. 2012 was an abomination, the right songs qualified for the final for the most part but then all died off once there, apart from Popular :(

55. Hopefully it will climb then, it will be her belated second top 40 hit for me I'm sure!

Yep, a lot of past BJSC entries clicked with me whilst I was making those recaps! :D

 

01 - The album is divine, a stunning piece of electropop. Wonders is my favourite track on it actually!

10 - I had known her version of End Credits for a while as a b-side, but didn't chart it during XL as I forgot to add the mp3 to my chart playlist :drama: . At least it's here now! As far as Kyla goes, I totally dismissed it until it clicked whilst making the recap clips!

22 - The chorus is insanely catchy, but again it wasn't amongst my favourites in BJSC originally. I love it now though!

43 - Indeed! It's my favourite of your entries now I think!

55 - I agree, hopefully it'll grow on both of us!

1. Wow, as much as I love the album, I guess my main love affair for them was in 2009 and hence the album's tumbled down my chart rather hastily :drama:

32. It's strange how things grow and sometimes end up becoming better than the more instant songs. IIRC, none of the destined for my end of year top five debuted in my personal chart top ten!

51. Indeed, I'm hoping that 2012 will be FAR better because 2009 was perfect results wise and 2010 had a perfect winner for me and some other decent results. 2012 was an abomination, the right songs qualified for the final for the most part but then all died off once there, apart from Popular :(

55. Hopefully it will climb then, it will be her belated second top 40 hit for me I'm sure!

07 - Congrats on making it through to TBO semi finals! This is definitely one of my favourites of your entries! :D

12 - I know! Such a shame! I think it's probably because it was quite a slow burner sales wise.

19 - I do really like this! I'm thinking of sending it to BJSC, but I feel it may go the same way as Baker and Brock did! I may just send what's going to be my Christmas number one instead!

23 - It's Scooter's best track in years! Vicky helps a lot though!

31 - I may get it, this track is growing on me all the time! He could be big here, but I agree that the album is coming out too early. Then again, KT Tunstall released her debut album very early before she took off and look what happened there!

32. Not to worry, it's my 2nd least favourite of my own entries this year but I still love it, I love everything that I send! I guess I expected Lise Karlsnes through and suspected that Eric Amarillo might but Katie Cole and Elsiane caught me off guard as well as Brittany!

51. For some reason I thought you'd have loved the Slovenian entry. Really unique in the field with a great classical sound, and I know you have an affinity to the country too!

 

32 - What was your least favourite? :o I wasn't surprised by Katie going through as it's such a brilliant pop song, and especially considering how weak that particular contest was. Elsiane was a little surprising I guess, but certainly not as shocking as Brittany was for me!

51 - Oh yeah, I did love it, but 2009 was such a strong contest that it was always a song I'd have been happy to see in the final but wouldn't have minded it missing the final at the same time! I usually do back the Slovenian entries though, but there have been worse DNQ's than Love Symphony, especially Omar Naber, Anzej Dezan and Rebeka Dremelj who were all really unlucky imo.

32. Whiter/Straighter - I still love it enough that it made my EOY top 100 though! I love all of my entries but I guess that's the one I loved the least from 2011. Two of my BJSC entries from this year finished in my EOY top ten and two others top 20! I adore Sunrise, I'm quite gutted that it only finished 10th retrospectively, that top five was weak as hell aside from Ashton. Elsiane was probably my most credible entry of the year, so it was nice to see the risk rewarded once again by seeing it going further in TBO :D

51. I didn't care for any of those Slovenian entries, No One and Love Symphony (and Stay Forever *cringe* :lol:) are my favourites from Slovenia!
