December 31, 201113 yr Author 5. David Guetta feat. Sia - Titanium JRfuAukYTKg&ob=av2n this seems to be adored all round Buzzjack and I am no exception to this - in the same way as Karma Karma was to Same Difference, Titanium was just beyond anything I expected from David Guetta. No recycled club beats, no generic 'dancefloor' lyrics and a vocalist that isn't a massive pop/R'n'B crossover star! Sia's vocals are perfect for this, powerful and goosebump inducing start to finish, with a deep lyrical meaning and Guetta's restrained beats are still very welcome, lets hope this can finally see success when its released as a proper single in 2012, it deserves to add another number 1 to David Guetta's list!
December 31, 201113 yr Author 4. Alexandra Stan - Mr Saxobeat sS76eS34Y0c&ob=av2e and as I write this, this is playing on the radio as one of the top selling tracks of the year :D I would've never guessed a track like this would've done so well in the UK, but it sold surprisingly well, and I'm very glad it did, as it really is a bit of a  moment really, probably the most infectious track of the year, the saxophone beat, the simple, fast paced vocals and even that slightly annoying 'oh yeah' voice still makes this a brilliant listen, it still sounds great to me and never fails to get me in a good mood, a deserved top 5 placer really
December 31, 201113 yr Author 3. Example - Changed The Way You Kiss Me CLXt3yh2g0s kicking off the top 3 is my favourite number 1 single of the year, coming from Example, this was his first number 1 single and easily his most successful yet, call him an arrogant twat if you will and this may be a hell of a lot more commercial than his earlier hits, but I still think its an amazing song. the basslines are brilliant for one and the breakdown is just screaming for you to get up and dance and Example's vocals though taking a back seat to the backing music in this case are still effective, the result is a class dance pop song and a thoroughly deserved success, indeed, he has been on top form this year, with his other number 1 further down my chart and his other two less successful singles still very good in ym eyes.
December 31, 201113 yr Author just two tracks left...one of them you know, but is it on top and what is the other one? all will be revealed.................now 2. Chase & Status feat. Liam Bailey - Blind Faith PcVYBxHEry0 this was so close to being my number 1 of the year for about three quarters of the year, it remained unchalleged in that spot, but for that one song that stopped it at the last minute, not that this isn't brilliant either - the third pre-album release from dance duo Chase & Status, I'd been very impressed with everything they've released so far and this took the biscuit - sounding like a 90s dance classic, the flying synths, pulsating beats and combination of confused vocals by Liam Bailey and powerful vocals by *insert name of female here :kink: *, it makes for a totally fantastic listen and if anything it deserved to be number 1 for weeks rather than the top 5 and plummet position it got. The album itself was also very good, a very good collection of dance tunes, nothing quite up to this standard, but yes, one of my favourite acts of the year without question. 1. Coldplay - Paradise 1G4isv_Fylg&ob=av2e erm...obvious? well maybe slightly, I do loon over them big time (maybe not as much as Bray but even so :P ) and this song is easily my favourite from them in AGES, its classic Coldplay really, which is a VERY GOOD thing, an anthemic, shout-along chorus, complete with guitar and violin solos and the full on power of Chris Martin's voice telling an uplifting little tale. Plus, the video  dressing up as elephants is AMAZING! the album was very good, a few filler tracks on there and I still don't see the fuss with Princess of China but its still very good and strong as ever, and overall I've been really impressed with them this era and long will they remain to be my favourite band of all time, which I'm seeing live for the first time next year :w00t: so thats my number 1 of the year, I shall post the full list shortly... December 31, 201113 yr Hey C.W.! I have been reading, now for a few comments :D 1. Coldplay - Paradise Excellent #1 - I've never been known as a fan of Coldplay, but they really hit my sweet spot with this album. This in particular just continues to grow, not just on me but on the public too it seems! 4. Alexandra Stan – Mr Saxobeat Very glad to see this so high! One of the club songs of the year for me, I think my friends got a little embarrassed whenever this came on and I danced, but good memories 5. David Guetta feat. Sia – Titanium I think we can definitely say this is the best thing he's ever done now? When Love Takes Over feels a little stale in comparison, and I don't think it's greatness is just down to Sia either - glorious beat 6. The Vaccines – If You Wanna I've not heard anything by the Vaccines yet, their album is one I really need to check out 11. Same Difference feat. Alcazar – Karma Karma Sticks out a bit, fantastic! I was shocked they've put out something so good, I overlooked it 12. Nero – Guilt Definitely their best song for me, love the falling synths halfway through 15. Tinie Tempah feat. Ellie Goulding – Wonderman One of my favourite Tinie songs too! 28. The Naked & Famous – Young Blood As you mentioned, actually 2010 but happy to see it get appreciation anyway! one of my faves from last year Happy New Year!
