As there are only two new entries this week, I've decided to do a poll with a twist. In 2011 I had 20 different chart toppers so this weeks poll is to see which #1 track is the most popular with Buzzjackers. :D

01 (02) Azealia Banks - 212 (09-07-04-02-01) [5 wks] Yay! Fantastic #1, fingers crossed for her success this year

 

It's been a massive grower ever since BJSC. In fact, in October's BJSC this track appeared in my semi final. On first listen it had zero impact on me. I sent my semi final votes but then '212' grew on me more. I resent my votes to Tyrren (iirc, he hosted that contest?). It's continued to grow even since the BJSC final. It's also possibly the best use of Mickey Mouse in a music video...ever!!! :lol:

 

02 (01) Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (14-09-06-06-02-01-02) [7 wks] Excellent to see this riding high still, look forward to more from her too

 

If future singles are anything like 'Nuclear Seasons' then Charli XCX looks set to have decent success in my chart.

 

06 (--) Jessie J - Domino (06) [1 wk] Not as detestable as most of her album, it has a nice chorus, but I still can't stand her vocal acrobatics

 

'Domino' is easily my second fave single by Jessie J after 'Price Tag'. Looks like the track is going to become a fairly decent sized hit in the coming weeks.

I should be gutted that it's only up to no. 122 on iTunes but I have a gut feeling it'll be just as much of a slow burner in the UK as it's proven to be in other countries. Either that or 'STIUTK' will stall at #2 for endless weeks and be in the top 3 biggest selling singles of 2012. :lol:

Going my the file facts I haven't played it since February so it has been long forgotten! You were right though, it is very very good, instantly ringing bells now I'm playing it again

 

I much prefer the Magician Remix which is the version that has been very successful in Europe. I wasn't so keen on the original at first but that version has grown on me.

I'm probably in the minority but I just couldn't get into 'Go' at all. 'Love You So' sounds much better in comparison but alas I don't think Delilah is going to light up the UK charts in 2012.

The thing is I'd say I like both '212' and 'Nuclear Seasons' equally so decided that both tracks deserve at least 1 week each at the top of my chart.

 

04 (04) Military Wives, Gareth Malone & London Metropolitan Orchestra – Wherever You Are (04-04) [2 wks] Pleased to see this not plummeting, sad to see it dropping off so quickly in the official chart to be honest :(

 

It will probably plummet next though as it'll be my first top 40 of 2012. I'm surprised it didn't manage another 100k this week though after last weeks massive opening sales.

I was in two minds whether to enter this now or wait until 2012 to capitalise on its YTD points. I decided to chart this now because in all honesty I don't see this being a big hit in my chart (ie; top 5). This was #10 in my Pre-Release chart last week so it always going to chart, it was just a matter of when. 'Troublemaker' is poor and I think it's safe to say it won't be troubling my top 40.

Unlike 'Video Games', Gotye's track actually has had two rebounds during its chart run to date as I've bolded. ;) Whether it gets a boost in the coming weeks is left to be seen. Usually with these type of singles (big in my chart months before the UK) it's more a case of I'm over the song so it doesn't really benefit. It happened with 'Alors On Danse' in 2010 - by the time it made the UK top 40, it was well and truly on its way down my chart. It stabalised for a few weeks but never returned to the top 20.

 

Can I just say I'm looking forward to the next BJSC. Hopefully there will be some great tracks entered as the UK release schedule is looking like a right draught. Otherwise I dread to think what my personal chart will look like come mid-February. :lol:
