The flight was plagued with problems and after arriving in Nashville Elvis declared: "Man, I don't know if I'll ever fly again". April 13, 1959 Elvis received a Salk polio inoculation as part of his continued efforts for the March of Dimes. April 13, 1971 Elvis bought some martial arts supplies, such as 2 black karate ghis, sweatband, headbands, a rubber knife and skin toughener. April 13, 1972 Elvis performed at the Coliseum, Charlotte, North Carolina. April 13, 1977 Elvis flew to Las Vegas with Alicia Kerwin and Billy and Jo Smith. Later they went on to Palm Springs, where Elvis bought Alicia a car. Then Elvis experienced trouble breathing again and Dr. Ghanem flew in from Las Vegas to attend to Elvis.
