Elvis left Breckenridge in the morning behind the wheel of his Cadillac. Elvis performed later that day at Owl Park, Gainesville, Texas, where he still was largely unknown and only drew a handful of people.

Maybe due to the flight problems of the other day or just because Elvis was tired, the session at RCA's Nashville studio didn't went very well. Just one song was recorded in 3 hours: " I Want You, I Need You, I Love You".

While Elvis was in the studio he was presented with a gold record for "Heartbreak Hotel".

After the session Elvis and the band took a flight back to Memphis where in the evening Elvis stopped by Dewey Philips' radio show at the Hotel Chisca.

Elvis began a 5 day tour with artists from TNT Records at M-B Corral, Wichita Falls, Texas. When each artist had finished his performance Elvis left for Seymour, an hour away, for a second performance but didn't arrive before midnight because he ran out of gas and money. The hardcore Elvis fans were still waiting for him when he finally got on stage at the High School, Seymour, Texas. For a long moment Elvis just stood there with his eyes closed, not saying a word and Scotty stepped up behind Elvis, pretending to wind him up. With that, Elvis grabbed his guitar and the show was on.

Elvis went to Paramount for some publicity stills and met there Larry Geller. Larry had promised Elvis copies of several of the books they had discusses, including The Impersonal Life. Elvis continued to read and reread this book over and over again until his death.

After midnight the wedding party left for Las Vegas in 2 jets and at 3.30 a.m. Elvis and Priscilla obtained their marriage license at the Clark County Courthouse. The ceremony was held at 11.45 a.m. at the Aladdin Hotel, followed by a press conference in the Aladdin Room. Afterward there was a reception with all members of the entourage except for Red West, who was so furious about his exclusion from the ceremony that he didn't have contact with Elvis for the next 2 years.

Elvis and Priscilla had their first wedding anniversary. It was catered by the Deli Restaurant at the house. Priscilla received flowers from Elvis with a card saying: "Love, Elvis."
