Posted January 8, 201213 yr Not yet but soon I think I am going to start using ukairplaychart.com instead of Chartsplus for compile my Airplay Chart Top 1000 (Weekly update). They seem to cover 99.7% of radios stations and its compiled by the Radio Monitor. Yes it may not be the "official" source but surely if it cover more stations then its a better representation of the airplay of the uk. I know ive asked before but im still not sure. What do you guys think ?
January 8, 201213 yr Author Here is a list of all the stations - http://www.ukairplaychart.com/c/?export=&a...y&length=10
January 8, 201213 yr Estimates and guesswork. I don't think it matters which chart you use, they're equally likely to be accurate or considerably out. The margin of error on the largest stations will exceed the estimated impressions on the smaller stations anyway.

I totally understand what you are saying but since the airplaychart covers more stations and shows more plays, its seems to be a bit more accurate. Thats why im suprised its not classed as the "official" source.
January 8, 201213 yr I personally would always use the official chart. The one on www.ukairplaychart.co.uk is usually quite similar to the official one, but I thought it was strange that songs normally show a higher number of plays, but lower audience impressions. But then I noticed that they use audience figures from nearly two years ago. "The UK Airplay Chart is compiled by Radiomonitor from the music played on 316 UK radio stations or 99.7% of UK radio by audience (Rajar Q2 2010)."

I only use the plays on radio. Thats why I think its best that I use that site instead of the official one.
January 8, 201213 yr Plus the fact that ChartPlus also costs is a bit of an issue to lol But if you don't renew, and use the free stuff, then everybody looses out in the end because if everybody does that, then nobody will subscribe and it will have to end. ChartsPlus relies on its subscribers to continue. We are also the only source of the Top 100 for the Airplay. Radio Monitor do compile a chart but, as we looked into carrying it, the data is sometimes inaccurate and frequently lists multiple versions in the same chart.

I think ill stick with what im doing at the moment then.
