So the majority of us all got into Shakira after the fabulous 'Laundry Service' What a great album it was :wub: it sold over 13 million worldwide, and is the second biggest female album of the milleniun, beaten only by Norah Jones :o It contained the classics of Whenever Wherever, Underneath Your Clothes and Objection. Whenever Wherever became one of the milleniums biggest songs, and for many people is Shakira's trademark song.

 

Although LS may niot have shown the true diversity of her, Diversity is there. From the Hip Shaking WW to the power ballad of 'The One' to the stunning Arabic mega song of 'Eyes Like Yours'.

 

This truly is a fabulous album

Fool was the song that struck me the most first. I never really liked Objection although the Afro punk version is great!

 

I've recently started appreciating UYC more. It's such a great song and I love the accoustic version so much!

The afro-punk version is way better than the normal version.

 

UYC is her best english ballad imo, and its so beautiful live :wub:

I had my first kiss to 'Suerte'. Fact.

I'm a bit bored of the singles. I never really liked 'Underneath Your Clothes' because of its similarity to 'Eternal Flame'.

Actually, Eyes Like Yours was one of the tracks that caught my ear at first, despite everyone slagging it off. Although, I hadn't actually heard Ojos Asi then. However, I still think Eyes Like Yours stands on it's two feet.

I've never heard anyone slag off ELY, although I heard Ojos Asi before and its much better
