Commentary : After three weeks at the top the Bollywood movie song "Senorita" makes way for Shakira with her beautiful rendition of Francis Cabrel's 1979 hit "Je l'aime a mourir". This is her fourth number one for me following "Whenever Whereever" from 2001, "Underneath your Clothes" from 2002 and "Hips dont Lie" from 2006. Biggest movers of the week come from London ska punk band The King Blues who jump from 10 to 3 and Mexican banda group La Adictiva Banda San Jose de Mesillas who rise from 12 to 5. Banda music also features amongst the six new entries with Banda El Recodo entering at 15 with "Te quiero a mourir" somewhat matching the title at least of Shakira's chart topper and perhaps being the oldest band ever to enter my chart having been formed in 1938 by Cruz Lizaraga and being carried on by his sons. The highest new entry is also Mexican with El Bebeto and 3Ball MTY entering at 13 with a cumbia song..infact described as rave cumbia. Yet another latin american rhythm, that of bachata..a regular feature on my chart ... enters at 19 for Dominican singer Luis Miguel del Amargue. Whilst "The A Team" drops from 7 to 12 in its 12th week on my chart, "Lego House" enters at 16 for English singer songwriter Ed Sheeran. In at 17 is a cover of Gotye's "Somebody that I used to know" which charted with me in August 2011 and is back by Canadian indie band Walk the Earth who have had nearly 20 million views of their youtube video which features all five band members apparently using the same guitar by different means. Finally at 20 is another cover, this time it's a English language cover of "Ai se eu te Pego" which topped my chart in November 2011 for Michel Telo and is covered by Dutch singer Geronimo ... unfortunately the videos have been banned by the publishers for copyright enfringement as the writers allegedly oppose an English language version.
