January 24, 201213 yr Author Hello Eyes! I am sorry I didn’t review your chart until now, I know I said I’d do it by yesterday :( The first day I just couldn’t find the time, and the other day I totally forgot. :(  Well.. nevertheless.. here is my review now! The songs in bold are songs I’ve discovered exclusively through your chart, and your chart only :D Thanks Freeze (Don't worry, you're here now)! Special thanks, in fact, that's a lovely review, so I'm giving it a post all of its own so I can reply properly. 2. [18] Twilight - Cover Drive (18 - 2) [2wks] - Oooh, I really like this! Such a perfect, comfortable summer jam  Will definitely give this some more listens and maybe even chart it! You like it on first listen, I didn't much, on first listen, it wormed its way into my brain, and seems to have done so with the rest of the UK, shame it's at the opposite time of summer! Hopefully you'll like it more and more, it's infectious. 3. [1] Honey And The Bee - Owl City (26 - 44 - x - 21 - 4 - 1 - 3) [6wks] - This is actually in the top ten in my EOY chart :o Great to see someone still charting it! 4. [6] Turn Loose The Mermaids - Nightwish (6 - 4) [2wks] - Quite storytellingly beautiful and pleasant! Could grow on me, I think..[/b] 3. Well, it recently had a good spell with me, so I recharted it and gave it a deserving peak, one of my favourites from Owl City. It's a bit late, but I'm not letting that matter, I'm really enjoying at the moment. 4. Oh good, glad you like it, one of my favourites from the Imaginaerum album, I love the story it tells, as does the whole of the album, really, and it is a grower, after the first listen of the album, I thought Storytime was easily the best thing on there, now, it has a challenger! 6. [2] Put Your Hearts Up - Ariana Grande (2 - 6) [2wks] - Great pop ahoy! :D 8. [11] What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger) - Kelly Clarkson (24 - 24 - 24 - 11 - 8) [5wks] - This was very catchy, but there is something about it that I feel uncomfortable with. I don't know, but I know I should be really enjoying it. Instead I'm conflicted! I think what ruins it for me is the lyrics, especially "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger"-part. I don't particularly agree with it and I think it's overused. In addition the music video is imo poorly executed with poor coreography and is based on an uninteresting and uncreative idea :nocheer: 6. Very good pop, indeed. I was quite obsessed with this a week ago. 8. Aw, shame. I really like the lyrics, and Kelly has never been strong on the music video front, but the most important thing for me here is the catchy-ness of the pop-rock tune, and that's the best thing about it. 13. [7] Do It Our Way (Play) - Alesha Dixon (3 - 7 - 13) [3wks] - Nice song, and such an entertaining music video to boot! And everything done in one take too? Always.. always.. always impressive! :heehee: :D 17. [9] Fight For You - Jason Derulo (32 - 18 - 4 - 6 - 9 - 17) [6wks] - I'm probably one of the last to hear this now, but I don't generally keep me updated on Jason Derulo. Not one of his best songs according to what I like, but it was okay. 13. She's always impressive, certainly. The music video, unlike What Doesn't Kill You is probably the best thing about this song. Lovely to hear you enjoyed it. 17. The only reason I tend to keep myself updated with Jason is that despite myself, I end up really liking his trashy RnB most of the time. I always find it hard to say which one is his best, but this might be in the top 5. Nevertheless, I'm over it now.  31. [40] Mama Do The Hump - Rizzle Kicks (36 - 39 - 40 - 31) [4wks] - I've seen this on the top end of the UK charts, but never got round listening to it. They certainly have an interesting style in music, and I can definitely see the appeal and why they're so big over there. Cool name too, even though I don't understand what "Rizzle" actually means :heehee: 35. [32] Get Ready, Get Set - The Saturdays (13 - 21 - 32 - 35) [4wks] - Ooh, this has a sort of bubblegum twist to it. Nice! 31. Their debut single, Down With The Trumpets is a bit better than this, but this is good, I'm enjoying its success, I do like that sort of catchy dance-rap/grime, and their music is very pleasant. This is the UK music scene now! I'm enjoying it. 35. The bubblegum is why enjoy it so much, it's ridiculously cute for The Sats, possibly more so than Faster, and that's an Alexis Jordan soundalike!!! So it's definitely one of my favourites on the album. 40. [42] You And I - IU (37 - 42 - 40) [3wks] - Cute girl, cute song and cute music video! I especially loved when she turned her head just like the goose   42. [--] Crush On You - Nikki Jamal (42) [1wk] - Elegant! 40. IU is my favourite K-pop girl, she is really cute, I really liked the Good Day video, I haven't actually seen the You And I video, but if it's more of the same, it is definitely relevant to my interests, so I should head over there! 42. It is, and wonderfully unique at the same time. I hope we get to see more from her, after all, she did win ESC.  49. [46]1000 Ships - Rachel Platten (6 - 13 - 9 - 17 - 27 - 46 - 49) [7wks] - It seems to drop out soon, but I'm glad to see it chart for so long for you! ^_^  50. [30] Paradise - Coldplay (6 - 5 - 5 - 3 - 7 - 7 - 7 - 11 - 13 - 21 - 28 - 26 - 34 - 23 - 19 - 26 - 26 - 30 - 50) [18wks] - What? I can't remember hearing this song! I haven't listened to it yet? Strange.. well.. I really like it! They're one of the biggest bands around for a good reason! :o 49. It's done incredibly well for a song from BJSC, where I'm normally obsessed with them mostly for just the contest, I didn't have the heart to drop it out, it keeps asking me to keep it in. Seriously though, it's a great winner! :D 50. I'm surprised, but it is really good. I'm a little tired of it now, but the whole of the synthy instruments followed by the vocals of Chris Martin make for a great construction, love it to pieces. Great chart! :D I absolutely found some chart worthy discoveries here! I'm really glad! Thanks for making such an effort, very good you've found some discoveries from it, that's really nice! ^_^  Thanks again, Freeze!Â
January 24, 201213 yr Thanks Ghosty! :D 25. I think, according to Wiki, it's the next single, a good choice, its quite effortless throughout, especially with the contrasting vocals. Growing on me a lot as well. 46. I'm ashamed to say, it took THIS long to finally grow on me that much. I knew I liked Ring Meg, that was a lot more instant, Bordet might actually be better though. 25 - Oh good! That's a decent choice! Turn Loose The Mermaids would make a good single too I think! 46 - It is a grower for most it seems, it was very instant for me, but then I compared it too Loreen's output instantly which probably helped me like it more. It's a very wholesome dancepop song, whereas I found Ring Meg a little bit throwaway. I'll be getting her album though, It's due out at the start of March :D
