Anyone here who listens/listened to Linda Ronstadt's music? I think two of her albums - ''Simple Dreams'' and ''Heart Like a Wheel'' - are extremely good (especially the latter). She used to be so gorgeous and classy looking. And then to have such a good voice, she was truly gifted. Too bad she didn't write any of her stuff or played any instrument.

When I kick the bucket I want the song ''Heart Like a Wheel'' at my funeral. The original by Kate & Anna McGarrigle is fantastic as well but the violin in Linda's version is just

Other favorites of mine are ''Carmelita'', ''Tumbling Dice'' and ''It Doesn't Matter Anymore''. ''It's So Easy'' is also a standout and definitely one of the catchiest songs ever made.

Oh, yes the Trio is album is really good. I think the songs that she leads on on that album are among the weakest tracks on there (except Hobo's Meditation) - but that has nothing to do with her, the arrangements on those are just not very interesting. There is a ''Trio'' video on YT where Dolly says that Linda prefers to do harmonies instead of lead, and I do think Linda is very good with Harmonies.

Maybe you'll like her solo stuff. It's very pop/rocky and chart-ready though, much more so than Emmylou's and Dolly's output. I read on wiki she was once the highest paid female artist in the world. ''I Never Will Marry'' (on Sweet Dreams) is a duet with Dolly and ''I Can't Help It (If I'm Still in Love with You)'' (on Heart like a Wheel) is a duet with Emmylou Harris.

When it came out,I bought her duet with Aaron Neville Dont Know Much. Which remains her biggest hit in the UK.
