I love this band, hugely underrated and they're back with a new single 'Tonight' which is out on March 5th. It was produced by Tim Powell (Kylie Minogue, Sugababes, Pet Shop Boys), and mixed by Richard X (M.I.A., Kelis, Annie.).

 

St. Etienne's Bob Stanley (who has contributed to Pitchfork) says the track is "about the anticipation of going to see your favourite artist. For some reason, I imagine this show is at the Forum in Kentish Town. The whole album is about the power of pop, how it affects and shapes your life. People talk about the problem of landfill indie, but there's so much landfill pop around at the moment - we're trying to do something about it."

I loved 'Method Of Modern Love' SO much, this isn't quite as good but still extremely solid all the same. Looking forward to the album!

LOVE this band too, right from back in the day and Only Love Can Break Your Heart :wub: He makes a good point about landfill pop (though I guess he means LOLpop), this is nothing of the sort, although I'm not sure yet if it's as good as Method Of Modern Lovve.
